Having a degree can greatly help when going up the ranks.
This.

It might be a partial requirement in my state though. The local police departments have recruited at the colleges here, and when I was taking Criminal Justice myself, my professors strongly encouraged further schooling if we wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. My favorite professor said too many people misunderstand what it means to be a police officer and that's why she tries to focus on the logistical side of policing, i.e. laws, regulations (local and state), and paperwork. She loved that last one too, always telling us how incoming police officers underestimate the amount of paperwork there is in the job.

The big problem with Korra is that after the first season, Nickelodeon basically gave the series a death sentence that it never fully recovered from. Every season felt rushed after it, characters were inconsistent, plot lines were disappointing, and then it just kind of... ended. I don't blame the creators at all though because they made it obvious Nick was screwing them.

I'm pretty sure SwSh is the result of multiple issues. Inexperience with console design and mentality, rushing, burnout, unsure of future direction, changes in management/leadership, and so on.

It's a real shame because many of Nintendo's other franchises are hitting new highs and going in great new directions on the Switch. Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, soon Animal Crossing, and so on. I think that's what makes the disappointment in this game sting even more: we were all expecting something along those levels, but in the end, it's basically a 3DS upscale with, somehow, even more limitations. It'll still probably sell extremely well, but I think everyone knows this gen will be regarded as one of the weakest.

Honestly, not really. The gameplay loop will essentially be the same the entire game and there aren't any real upgrades or changes as you continue. Enter a new floor, probe for treasures, fight boss, repeat.

I voted other. I was a dumb, lazy WoW kid in high school but had my big boy pants on for college. While there are some standard core classes everyone takes, there's usually a whole different set of curriculum available that high school doesn't have access to. I went to one of the better community colleges in the state and tended to have a harder time in the core "math, english, history, science" classes but had it significantly better with other material like anthropology, logic, philosophy, law, and criminal justice (which I then went on to major in).

So it depends on the school and you as a person.

Artbook for the special edition is ehhh for anyone curious

It's a softcover 30 page book. That or figurines are the only reasons I buy special edition version of games. The Xenoblade Chronicles 2 one was good though

I wouldn't have bothered with the SE for AI if Amazon didn't screw up and accidentally have it set to the regular version's price for a day. I was going to get the game either way on release so this was just a bonus.

But yeah, looking forward to the game and have been hearing really good things. Probably going to play it next.

Crazy Christmas party with a ton of high level government officials.

When I was in insurance, I took a call from a client who sounded like that stereotypical "deep voiced, smoking woman from Boston" and she had the best sense of humor from a customer I'd ever talked to. Made my day. Kept talking about how the lady who hit her looked and sounded like a hooker, how her name "Candy Flauss" was clearly a cover.

When I was younger: riding children's bikes around Toys R Us after closing and chucking balls at each other. There was also the time I had to be the escort for Geoffrey and we decided to troll by following the kids that were terrified of the costume. We had a Skylanders rep in the store that day who was obviously hungover, and he saw what we were up to and kept busting out with these super contagious wheezy laughs.

I preferred 1 because it wasnt so hyper focused on realism that it became a detriment to gameplay.

This.

RDR1 is one of my favorite games ever, so I had high hopes for the sequel. But from the very beginning to the bitter end, it fought me every step of the way. It's one of the slowest games I've ever played, which I understand is more "realistic", but it doesn't make for a very fun experience imo. I had to give up on activities like hunting and collectibles early because it felt like there were a million steps needed to accomplish anything and I was never good enough. Horse riding and getting around, in general, takes forever and the fast travel system is awful. The stat system is bugged (or was back at release), all guns essentially feel and work the same and maintenance of them is a chore, and there are soooooo many glitches. And the less said about Online, the better. The story and characters are the only amazing aspect of the game, and why I kept with it until the end, yet due to it being a prequel, you essentially already know the outcome from the start.

I'll be honest, I still liked the game, but I was beyond relieved to finally have it finished.

Speaking of Mega Man, after Legends 3, Capcom pretty much scrapped all other plans for the series as well. There were plans to have remakes of X2 and MM2 on the PSp that woud've followed in the same style as Maverick Hunter X and Powered Up respectively.

Then we just recently learned about this in June: https://www.nintendoenthusiast.com/2019/06/16/canceled-mega-man-star-force-4-details-emerge-wouldve-been-mature/

Am I the first to say Half-Life 3? Because that. It's just as bad, if not worse than the Legends 3 situation too.

-Previous game/episode ended on a cliffhanger with a ton of foreshadowing both in that as well as the Portal games
-Seemed to at least exist at one point or another, definitely had some buzz behind the scenes
-Valve gets too greedy after Steam hits it big, decides to funnel all effort and work into that instead of games
-Slowly but surely, all pertinent members that worked on the game/series leave Valve
-Document leak shows the final product would've been awesome: http://www.marclaidlaw.com/epistle-3/

Wish I had bought HD when it was still easily available. Ended up getting it years later at a Gamestop clearance sale for >$5 and it's one of the few I own without a case. Also wish the U.S. got Last Window. Recent check for it on ebay was narsty.

But yeah, these games have style. Apparently that's why it took so long to get them out. I'm of the HD > LW camp, but one thing I was kind of annoyed by in both is that there are these sort of non build-ups. Like, the games hint at a bunch of stuff happening behind the scenes, and you think there'll be some sort of big climax, but it usually ends up being a fizzle and the good stuff happens off-screen.

Oh, Louis is best girl too

it should of been a warning imo like a learning experience. then when they infraction a second time they can do stiff penalty imo.

it's why traffic stops happen, they want everyone to be safe (as long as nothing illegal is happening).

It wasn't even a real ticket so it was a "whatever" thing. It was a rainy day and I didn't see the signage so I thought the spot was fine. Guess not, so hey, live and learn.

I've been sitting on a backlog of RG kits for a while now: Sazabi, Sinanju, Unicorn, and Banshee. I've thought about picking up the Nu and Crossbone, but I just haven't been in the mood for model making in a while and the last couple I worked on didn't turn out the way I hoped. I was almost thinking of paying my friend to just make these for me, but that's no fun.

When I have time in the future, maybe I'll hit up a model club in the future so I can get some tips. It's been years now and I still consistently have problems with nubs. Maybe I need new nippers or a file?

Persona 5R is still essentially Persona 5, but it's heavily implied that (endgame spoilers for 5, possibly for 5R): Kasumi somehow uses the goblet to wish for a "perfect world" where Akechi doesn't turn, Morgana is a human, Futaba's mom never dies, etc., but at some unknown cost that will likely end up reverting everything by the end.

The Hobbit is one of my favorite books, so I was bummed when the adaption was stretched out to three full-length, grimdark movies that completely miss the point and spirit of the novel. Like, it was written as a fun bedtime story for Tolkien's son, not some broody, bombastic theatrical display.
