Dang I feel so old I need to relearn all the Disneyland stuff apparently. Last time I went was just a few years ago but there was no app, the cool Star Wars stuff wasnt there yet, and they still had the Tower of Terror

the Disneyland app is insanely useful, being able to check wait times is awesome. Anytime something was too long, I would just find a different ride with a shorter queue

I don't really care about anything the TC said. My main issue with the sequel trilogy is that they do too much telling and not enough showing. "Show, don't tell". Pretty much everything explained in the OP was NOT shown in the movies, it was either told to us or you had to surmise it yourself.

That's like, shitty movie making 101. IDC about the story shitting all over the originals. I care that the storytelling and execution of the new movies has been bad.

People who understand that without children, the human species can't continue. Sure, a lot of dumb dumbs have kids but a lot of pseudo-smart don't and that's a good thing.

The worldwide population has tripled in the past 70 years. What you're doing right now is akin to arguing against global warming because one country saw a 1% decrease in global temperature, while every other country has seen a massive increase. Except it's even more laughable because the numbers are much larger.

I try and avoid children at all costs, but I frequent dog parks with my husky. So I see a lot of bad pet parenting. Here are some common things I see:

I've seen several people jump in between 2 dogs who are playing, thinking they're fighting, and make a problem out of it. Some owners act overly protective and take up a defensive stance whenever another dog approaches their dog. You better believe their dog notices their owner's defensive posture and acts defensive as well.

There's also the problem of people leaving the gate open when they enter / leave the park. My dog escaped the park once and ended up in the middle of the road in traffic because someone let him out. Thank God he didn't get hit by a car. The person who let him out just goes "he looked like he wanted to go out." Yeah, right. So you just let someone else's dog out to play in traffic.

I've also had people get mad at my dog and one person even cursed me out because my dog has "too much" energy, therefore, he isn't adequately trained (according to one individual) and I'm an asshole. He loves to run. He's a husky. He has a lot of energy. The main reason dog parks exist is for dogs to get exercise and socialize. It reminds me of the people who bitch at other people for "lifting too heavy" at the gym.

Bad parenting isn't just for human children.

I was in 6th grade. All they told us was "there was a plane crash in New York City." They also said that some of our parents who worked in New York may be late getting home because there would likely be delays. You see, I grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania, near the New York border, so some kids actually had parents who would commute all the way to NYC for work.

Anyway, I got home after school and saw my dad watching the news. I heard the gist of what happened. I asked him, "is the tower still burning?" And he's like "dude, they both fell down." I was just speechless, not really understanding what he was telling me.

We have one. It's not bad, but it really depends on the model you get. Some of the older ones suck. The one we have is a few years old model and it cleans dirt / hair well, but gets stuck on stuff easily. Clothes, chords, hanging bedsheets, edges of stuff. We also have all hardwood/ tile floors, so I'm not sure how well they do on carpet. I'd recommend looking at reviews for the specific model you're looking at getting.

I don't need a brand new $1000 phone, but I need a good phone because I use it for work. It's not that I do anything super complicated, but it's helpful to have a fast phone when you do a lot of scheduling, and you're switching between 2-3 different scheduling apps.

I also process invoices, transactions, and
message clients throughout the day via several different messaging apps. Additionally, I post on my business's social media from my phone, so it helps to have a good camera. I upgraded from a Galaxy S5 to an S9 last year, and work goes much smoother when I have a fast phone.

I have a friend who's kind of like that. He's been through the cycle of being addicted to heroin, losing everything, and starting over at least 2-3 times now and he's only in his early 30's. He's been so depressed that I literally needed to leave work one day in the middle of a snowstorm to drive to his place and talk him down from suicide.

There gets to be a point where you just need to stop worrying about him. If he's so determined to be depressed and impose uselessness onto himself, there's nothing you can do, beyond a point. I know it sucks, but you just need to learn to let go.

That not to say cut all ties or anything like that. If this friend I'm referring to ever came to me needing help, I'd help him out, within reason. I even try and reach out to him from time to time. But you need to emotionally remove yourself from him. Spending too much time on people like that will ruin your life.

That's fine. I try and get my animal products from more ethical sources, and support change in farming practices. I don't see eliminating the meat industry as feasible, at least right now, so I feel like it's better to support positive change in it. I'm not going vegan anytime soon, but I wouldn't rule out going vegan if it was cost effective and convenient though.
