Would assume "hip" LA Koreatown restaurants being those owned by younger folks who don't possess the experience in making great authentic Korean food but are pros at creating atmosphere, or are owned by mega-corporations back in Korea (kind of like what they're doing in NY or Hawaii, all those new restaurants popping up)

The good ones are those where the atmosphere is pretty standard for an Asian restaurant, cause the owners are older Korean folk who have that familiar mentality of "good food will be enough for business" rather than "we need a setting that's great for taking foodie pics at"

McGrath said it was premature to say whether she would support the presidents acquittal or conviction when the trial takes place. Senators should review the evidence and then make a judgment, she said.

I see it too. The right wing is a cult that is super devoted and super driven to vote no matter what.

Which is a great thing, if you're the type that pushes the whole "voting matters" type of person.

Whereas look at states with the lowest voting %. Only ~35% of Hawaii votes, the lowest in the entire country; West Virginia is 2nd lowest at 45%. That's much less than half of the State's population wanting to be involved in the voting process (since it only counts voting registered, etc.).

No. In fact, the military is trying to fill shortages left by the 2011-14+ downsizing under Obama.

If I had to join again, I'd choose enlisted over commissioned. There's that expectation of boundaries lingering overhead between the two, and commission-commission, while you can generally joke and be more at ease around other enlisted (at least up to E5/E6, I find that there's more leeway)

Ok, you've convinced me.

I'm just wondering where you rank Francis, since apparently he's the best in modern times, but not the best overall, despite the fact that all the previous Popes practically stuck to the same routine with little deviation, relative to him.

Who else is your favorite Pope of non-modern times,?

Dunno how you equate "modern" with "thousands of years," but that's your problem.

Is there a Pope from olden times that enacted radical changes to church doctrine/operation, and which you find more favorable than Francis?
Otherwise it wouldn't matter if you added "in modern times", since he would still be #1 in your rankings.

And considering how he's trying to move the church away from being a gluttonous money-hungry monstrosity and actually tried follow the teachings of that Christ fella (who is apparently a big part of the whole "Christianity" thing), as well as holding pedophilic priests accountable instead of shuffling them around, yes. He's much better.

Apart from the pedophilic priests, which can be considered a "recent" issue, has the church not operated as what you have described for most of it's existence? Certainly the Crusades aren't a period that fit your MO of being Christ-like, but when else/what other periods has it been any different?

Also, wouldn't it be smarter for them not reveal themselves and announce who they are, as it probably will draw attention to themselves and make them targets, and they would have a higher chance of catching criminals otherwise?

Announcing their presence acts as a deterrent. Much like how people put up signs pointing out that they have a
