Damn, that was a struggle. Not looking forward to doing it 3 more times, but hopefully it'll be easier now. Switching Tyro out for Aerith made a big difference, even though all Tyro's entrusting was going to Elarra before anyway. Rikku's damage in phase 3 with Trinity bombshell was pathetic even in awakened mode... Aquatic Weakness might be better but not sure I want to invest since I know I can win without it.

Got two of my top 4 wants so that's pretty good. Would have been nice to get a glint or two as well... and obviously I still want Squall Sync and Rinoa's other awakening. But turning Laguna into a legitimate DPS contributor along with his chain is huge.

You don't need them at all. Ramuh doesn't do anything to raise his earth resistance, so you can do plenty of damage with chains + awakenings/syncs

I flew through the weekly magicite missions on Tuesday finishing up my Leviathan and getting inheritance fodder for it. Might make more sense to do Ifrit next week but I'm going to just go on and try it now.

I wasn't sure if this team would have enough firepower when I failed to get Garnet's awakening. But I just couldn't get it to work with 3 dps + Garnet + healer. Finally went with this team, just built SB while waiting for the 5s dooms to trigger, used Elarra's AASB, refreshed DVG, and then went all out. Now I need to do it 3 more times but I don't think that will be all that hard. Then Ifrit!

Not sure if that was a response to me but yeah, I did end up doing the 100 mythril draws and taking it. I also got Orlandu's awakening from the 2 draws, which was the only awakening in a gift set that I didn't already have. I also had every LMR in the gift sets. So it came down to which AOSB I wanted between Tidus, Terra, Ingus, Bartz, or Orlandu (I had all the others) and I took Tidus.

I'm not totally sure if I'm going to use Elarra for Ifrit, because I have Aerith's G+ and her USB2. I might try a team with her and Tidus/Rikku/Paine/Bartz. Or maybe two healers will be the way to go, not sure yet. I am working on Leviathan for real right now.

2/11 - Dupe Biggs USB, dupe Dr Mog USB.

Not really sure what to do at this point. Still no Elarra AASB or G+. I could spend 100 mythril to get the AASB but the G+ kinda seems like the more important piece. Or I could save the mythril or do more draws on the IX banner.

2/11 - Garnet's G+, and awakening for my boy Vivi!!!

Two out of my top 3 items on the banner. Still want Garnet's awakening but I might be able to make do without it. And my fire DPS is ready for Shiva (Terra Sync/Awakening, Vincent Chain/Awakening, and Vivi Awakening).

Yeah, no point in getting any of them until we have the 6* wind magicite to use it on. But my team will probably include both Squall and Celes, and I don't think I'll have enough EX lenses for both HAs right away.

This pickup banner is kind of tempting, with 3 awakenings, 3 chains, and 2G5. WoL's awakening would help with my last torment too. But I've been looking forward to the IX and VIII banners.

Nice, I took down Titan with a magic team. Never have to fight this guy again. Although the sad thing is he already seems easy compared to the newer magicite. Staying alive isn't a challenge at all with just Elarra USB, the only challenge is breaking through the walls and dealing enough damage before you run out of time.

I don't think it would have been to much help anyway since the only way Strago can enwater is through his BSB or Awakening, I have to use both his OSB and AOSB at the right times.That said Awakenings (and dualcast LMRs) are really risky to because of their dualcasts, if you kill a pillar with one cast the second cast could kill another pillar and that character will take a lot of damage from the painflares. But Awakening's 15 seconds is only so much when you have to be careful about attacking the pillars. Glints were extremely valuable in this fight because they only cast once, so use them to kill pillars if your character's awakening is active.

You can't rush Ifrit down because he'll use his own painflare when he reaches a certain HP%, the more pillars the more the worse the attack is (if all 4 are there they're an instant KO!)

That sounds insanely annoying. It seems like it might be worth unlocking all the HP nodes on the record board so you can tank more of those 4000 HP death counters. I'll be using a physical team when I get there so I should be able to get Tidus and Rikku pretty high HP. But I still need better healing first.

I'm pretty close to beating Titan with magic (I did physical before). But that last stage is pretty annoying and Fujin really suffers from her glint not giving enwind.

I can't tell, who's your middle character? Do you have AASBs for Meia/Strago/Gogo? If so and it still took a full minute... I'm really not looking forward to this fight.

Still waiting on the gift set and the 100 mythril select. I think I need to wait for the IX banner 2 on 4/12 and see what I get and how much mythril I spent. If I don't get Vivi's awakening I might do the 100 mythril for it.

I decided to do one more pull on banner 2 because Rydia and Vivi are two of my favorites, and Edea's chain/awakening would help me a lot.

2/11 - Yuffie AASB and Tellah CSB

Objectively a great pull, just not what I was hoping for at all...

I'm still wavering on the 100 mythril select because there's nothing good I can draw on the banner, it would just be 100 mythril purely for the selection. Probably still worth it but it's hard to do it.

Realm ticket: 1/11 - dupe Elarra LMR. Sigh

I don't think I can auto Typhon, I need Rinoa to chain and then use her USB for offense. But it's not a hard one to run manually, it's pretty quick.

I've been inheriting one HP boon and one Mind boon. It's going to depend partly on how you set up your 5* magicite... I already have a lot of health boons and I had zero mind boons inherited on anything, when I started to realize it's useful to have one for shortening status effects as well as increased healing.

Shouldn't we be getting Shiva pretty soon? It's been over a month since Ifrit, and actually over 3 months since Leviathan (although that one was early). Plus I think the Black Chocobo Fire event is dropping on Thursday, I would think they would want Shiva out before that to get people to draw.

Yeah, Deathgaze was a huge pain but the part I remember having the most trouble with was actually dealing damage and being able to break Savage mode. Since you're stuck with Cecil's CSB Celes's BSB might be helpful with the +30% party attack boost (I used it with WoL's chain). Although Tyro also helped me a lot with his crit boosting.

Did the half priced gem pull, 1/11 dupe Rydia LMR. Then I did a mythril pull, 1/11 Vivi 5* glint. Good job making people feel bad for spending money on your game, DeNa.

Celes's is... usable... but it takes some work. One of her BSBs gives en-holy (the party buff one). Once she gets her unique ability she'll be able to deal holy damage while benefitting from all her spellblade bonuses.

I'm feeling a little frustrated... despite all the great free stuff we've been getting, this fest really doesn't offer a way to get the stuff I need the most to advance in the game right now. My #1 need is Elarra's Glint+, I've been drawing on the core banner with every ticket we get but I still don't have it, there's no banner with it, it's not on the glint dream select. Second most needed is lightning stuff, especially Ashe sync, Garnet awakening, and Garnet g+. At least the Garnet stuff will be on the IX banner 2 which should be around April 12. It seems crazy there's no lightning banner in this fest when there's still a banner that's half earth and at least one wind sync... do they just assume everyone beat Leviathan with no problem? There's only 4 banners, they could have easily had a fifth banner for some lightning stuff. Sigh.

My chain luck continues... got Hope's holy chain on the gift draw, which is something I needed... saves me $30 from getting getting Edward's on the chain select.

I'm going to take Orlandu's set because it's the only awakening I don't already have - but I'll wait until after the morning draw tickets at least in case I get it from those.

Did one pull on VI banner for pure favoritism.... I got Mog's chain but I want Terra's stuff. Hard to justify pulling though since I already cleared Titan and Ramuh, and VI Phantasm still hasn't happened yet in Japan. Literally the only thing it would get me is some extra crystals from a Titan magic clear (or Ramuh physical clear if I get Leo's stuff)

Lucky draw is a total trap... we thought it would be 8% 6* since that's the standard 2G5 banner rate... instead it's 1.72% 6*, total garbage

Just a Garland glint for 1, but this was easily my best ROP ever. New awakenings for Rapha and Ingus, and new chains for Vincent and Gilgamesh (edit: and Balthier!), is a great return for 80 mythril (skipped XIV).

I sub-30ed the XIII torment with the power of my new Lightning AASB! 16 down, 1 (FF1 that is) to go. If Dr Mog feels like giving me an awakening on the RoP tomorrow I might be able to do it, otherwise that one's going to be a while.

I finally beat Fire-weak Odin. That's the 8th one, so I don't have to worry about it again if I don't want to! And the 50 ice and summon crystals are nice since those were my two most needed types.

For record boards I'm definitely saving my motes until I see a need for one, since motes are going to be pretty scarce for a while. OK does seem like the best Unique Ability in the first set but unless I get his syncro I don't have a use for it right now. Rikku and Rydia are the ones I already have plenty of soul break for including Awakenings - but I already invested in R5 Leviathan and R5 Trinity Bombshell so I'm not sure how much those UAs would help. My first one might end up being Rinoa, Squall, or Celes.

These missions are definitely the thing that's going to make me set up autobattling teams for the 5* magicite. Got one that works for Manticore... sometimes Tyro dies but the run hasn't failed yet. One trick I'm trying is giving my chainer a 5* ability instead of 6* so they don't refresh the chain as much. Doesn't seem to make a big difference in this fight though.

Wow, so much stuff going on it's hard to keep track of it. My total logins were 1788. Highlights on the 9 free draws were Lightning AASB and Onion Knight realm chain, which were both on the same pull. I got one other AASB but it was a dupe - Ultimecia.

Record boards are confirmed for after maintenance (tomorrow morning), cumulative login rewards are confirmed (although no mention of the mythril, just draw tickets), the free elemental selection sets are confirmed, other free draws, etc.

Got Vincent's chain on the RoP!! I was planning to draw for this on the Fire Chocobo event! Fire Odin is the only element I still haven't finished (besides bio). Wonder if I should grab his awakening on the dream select now. The other ones I was considering were:

- Zidane - I like him and it helps with the first Phantasm. Already beat Titan though.
- Seifer - I have his dark chain.
- Lightning - might help with Leviathan (but I think my magic team is still better even with this). Also helps with one of the last torments I need to clear.
- Raines - Also helps with XIII torment, and 6* Magicite (but I'll probably do physical dark first)

Got Dr Mog's glint (wall) with the ticket and Ultimecia's G+ in the ROP. Although I don't care about Ultimecia I do already have her Awakening so it'll be useful when I get around to doing magic Titan.

Also, don't forget Garnet's chain gives +50% magic which is probably going to help your damage more than Prompto's imperiling. And she can use Allegro too which is pretty useful for a mage team.

Regarding the fest, the banners don't look that exciting but I think this is the best fest ever for free stuff, at least if you've been playing since the beginning. 120 mythril and I don't remember what else. Plus we're getting record boards, although they might not technically be part of the fest I'm lumping them together.
