Online dating is actually kinda dead right now. It has done this thing where they are just too many apps/services and you need 6 accounts to run the full cycle. Not to mention it just walls off any actually attractive women. Why put yourself through this when you can go out any normal weekend and just instantly talk to higher quality women.

Yeah, and it's harder because I live in a dead town with a tiny, aging population. The biggest town within like 25 miles of me has a population of like 4,500ish. I dipped my toes into the water by making a match.com profile (and setting it to hidden naturally to not risk rejection) and there are a few around, but the pickings are mighty slim there. The question is where to just 'go out'. I've been searching on Facebook for nearby events, but it's difficult to find something interesting happening around here.

I've focused on bettering myself for three years. Objectively I'm in a better spot in life now. Finally got my driver's license, got my first car, got a better job, saved up ~$32,000, went from a hermit who was terrified of people to being able to interact with them and very nearly give off the impression of a normal, well-adjusted human being. But all my time is spent at work or home, and nobody's just magically come into my life yet. I'm more with Lost_All_Senses on this one.

You know, I used to think that you just came on here to actively try to be as unlikeable as possible for kicks. And I thought that was really weird but, you know, different strokes. But it's at the point where I can't fathom someone putting such effort into something so pointless. How many thousands of hours? I'm coming to think that no sane man would be capable of such mind-numbing persistence. But if it's not an act and you really are this way, I feel bad for my uncharitable thoughts about you. I feel like you would have to be an almost horrifyingly lonely person who can't help but drive everyone else away and doesn't understand why. And there's nothing remotely funny or satisfying about that. Either way, I sincerely hope that someone in your life with the power to do so realizes your pain and helps you and gives you some kind of outlet other than this one. There's nothing shameful about needing help, and anyone who thinks there is or would judge you for it has a gross, callous mindset.
