It's very subtle, but can help with pain and anxiety. It's not for everyone.
I was thinking of taking it because I read it kind of works like opiods, but safer.

I didn't read all the posts, so sorry if I'm repeating, but have you checked with the EEOC? Their website lists all the different types of discrimination. You also can make an appointment to talk with an "intake officer," who will evaluate your case, but it can take a really long time to get an appointment. There are deadlines for filing, too (usually either 180 or 300 days, depending on what state you live in).

Is that American or Canadian?

I talked with my brother, mother and step father.
They all agree I leave that workplace without saying too much, saying something like (calling in) "I won't be coming back in as I've been constructively dismissed, and I will be in communication with you in the not too distant future." and say nothing else, don't mention lawyers or anything.
After that I'm going to set up an appointment for Legal Aid (free lawyer) and tell them as my step father, who was a CEO of a company so he knows what is allowed to be said and not, said that I can bring him to court.

They take advantage of all the other workers, too. They never pay on time and nobody else does anything because they're too young. It's about time someone does something.
I'm telling you guys this Subway I work at isn't in good management.

I forgot to mention, and this is most important, when I told him he was not allowed to ask me that he replied (and I quote), "I am, I'm your manager, your employer, you have to tell me or I won't be able to give you hours."

I probably should have mentioned that from the beginning.

It's a federal level regulation.

I didn't click any hyperlinks on that page but other that what was stated about applying for a job, where does it say they cant ask

Because this

Once you have been hired and started work, your employer cannot require that you take a medical examination or ask questions about your disability unless they are related to your job and necessary for the conduct of your employer's business.

doesnt argue that point. If TCs schizophrenia is affecting his job to the point he is being asked about it, going to court sounds like a waste of time and money

And I revise my previous post. You aren't "required" to let your supervisor know, but then that just opens you up to potentially being fired before your secret comes out anyway since your boss isnt a mind reader. So it's only required unless you as an employee enjoy going through that huge hassle

He asked me if I was on social welfare.

There is no argument. You're talking about his limitations when he already said it had nothing to do with the disability. As was already stated asking him that flat out counts as discrimination. Doesn't matter his reason for doing so. Same with cutting the hours

Really the only thing up in the air is whether he could take him to court and honestly you'd need good documentation to do so

So what you're saying is, because he illegally asked me that, I can bring that up in court? I want to do something because it made me feel horribly uncomfortable when he asked me those questions.
Whether or not I can take them to court, I'm taking them to the labour board for being late with checks all the time.

They don't care for their employees. They have only been on time with checks twice, for several checks I've had them given to me up to a week late, so I know I can take that to the labour board.
They do that because no one does anything, I'm the only one that works there that's over 20 so he's taking advantage of these kids (in my opinion).

You're one perspective man. You always take your own views as fact and you end up living in a fantasy world of your own creation. It seems like you don't even want to entertain looking at his perspective. We're telling you what he meant and he said exactly what he meant. You seem like you personally can't accept your limitations from being disabled and it makes it harder for people around you.

So you're saying he was just asking what disability I have, if I'm on disability (social welfare) all because I was dizzy? What about cutting my hours?

Im not sure why people think this is a joke.

It depends on the circumstances. If TC shared he had a disability, and then they cut his hours and asked these questions, it could be discrimination in some states (it is in California though Im not knowledgeable of how it works elsewhere)

If they cut his hours, then TC brought up his disability and then they asked those questions, then its something different because it sounds like they want to work it out.

In any case TC, make sure you capture everything in writing. Its up to you to prove anything and if its not in writing then it didnt happen.

So basically, I have a mental health problem.

Today my manager asked me if I am on disability, what disability I have, and what meds I'm on so that they can "work around it".
They are not legally allowed to ask me any of those questions and I'm wondering if I can take them to court because it made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I feel too uncomfortable to go back and work for them.

All help is appreciated.
