And yeah, @Dynalo , a LOT has changed, just from 1.9 to 2.0 alone. It's not even the same game now from what it was when it was born here.

So the thing is if the driver aimed or fired at the officers the safety of the hostage is now a nonfactor. Once the officers are underfire (even more so in a public place with civilians all around... they were literally in traffic hiding behind a car with the driver still in it) it becomes a factor of stopping the threat before more people can be hurt.

It's terrible for the hostage and the cops who had to open fire but they didn't do anything "wrong."

Sounds like the definition of what is wrong needs to be changed

A common problem nowadays in law enforcement, see: videos of cops shooting dogs that aren't doing shit because they felt "threatened"

I felt out of place when I started my PhD program in 2014 and like it was pointless and I was the stupidest person there. I mastered out in 2017, worked a job for a year until I realized I needed to get back I to my field, and now I'm going back into the same PhD program (working in a different lab of course) in the spring of 2020 because it turns out it was the best path after all.

Dont psyche yourself out, don't let other people psyche you out, etc. You can do it and it will be worth it. Just persist and you'll do good things.

Aye, there are plenty of forests. I think the harder thing to find is old world growth forests. Places that have never been cut/logged before. There are some, but not nearly enough
