I thought the Leia scenes were the weakest part. Much of Leia's dialogue made no sense in the context of the scenes she was in. It's unfortunate they didn't have enough spare footage to make something more coherent. In retrospect, I think it would have been better to cut out all of her scenes up until her savior moment. Would have been very powerful to have her only presence in the film to be to give her life force to stop Palpatine. Along with that, I would have cut out all of the rebel base stuff. Have the small number of rebels either just in space or planet hopping. The near destruction of the rebels was one of the best things TLJ did. Then give some more screentime to what Lando did to recruit the new fleet. --- Be a good little washing machine, now... o_0 |
