You're still responsible for giving money (even if indirectly) to a film you didn't enjoy; by giving them money, especially on multiple viewings, all you're doing is giving them the mindset of "Oh, I guess this works then" cause it still makes them a fuck ton of money, and doesn't give them any incentive to change how they handle things in future films.

-Why did Kylo Ren die at the end? It took too much energy for him to bring Rey back to life
-Was Wedge with the resistance or one of the fighters recruited by Lando? One of the fighters Lando brought
-Where did Leia get her lightsaber? She built it after RotJ
-Where did the yellow lightsaber come from? Rey built it sometime after the battle

If the Last Jedi did something interesting I would understand I guess. It kept bordering on doing something interesting but then it never did. Like oh man maybe Ray and Kylo will team up and make a neutral side, real balance to the force! Oh wait no, not happening. Ah but the old Jedi texts were destroyed, maybe this is some new beginning, oh wait no they were in a drawer on the ship, so that didn't matter either I guess. We had our time wasted with the casino planet, the finger snap cave, and the low speed chase, all of which amounted to nothing. We even had the world's worst attempt at "both sides" with the Rebels apparently being as bad as Space Nazis because they buy their weapons from companies. Like no shit, who doesn't buy weapons from companies? Where else would they come from?
