Massive world's, hugely detailed visuals, better ai, etc. Other things have gotten worse. With larger more detailed maps and regions, comes severe hand-holding. Any kind of difficulty is shunned because games are mainstream as fuck now. Going back and playing games from yesteryear leaves you wondering if you just suck now, or if games really used to be that hard. Alot of the BS mechanics we used to hate are gone now, I find.
