At first I didnt like how all the robots had so many tiny moving parts all needed hinges and actuators just too busy for the sake of being busy and complicated. But what really turned me off from them was these giant heavy metal things are fighting and hitting each other, being flung into the ground and all kinds of shit and they barely make loud sounds of clanking and crunching. Its a way to show her family you respect them and their support / approval for your relationship. I went to them while my gf (now wife) was gone. Sat down with them and explained how much I love and respect their daughter, and I want to spend the rest of life making her happy. Showed them the ring and asked for their blessing and permission to ask her to marry. Of course its all just a formality and tradition.
