I for one AM outraged by this. And it's worse than 40%. Now we have 5 parties on the national stage, that means anyone can slip by on 21% of the popular vote. Those margins narrow in places with strong regional parties like Quebec or Alberta. It's totally TOTALLY unacceptable. But I think that's what it's going to take: it's going to take a false majority of truly ridiculous proportions to wake people up.

And when the Liberals actually tried to move towards electoral reform, none of the parties could agree on what electoral system to use, so they just gave up and basically let the Conservatives have their way (that way being no change).

This is the only reason I hope the PPC gains some traction. It'll split the vote on the right, and it might actually make the Conservatives willing to look at some kind of electoral reform.

So you've had a bunch of lagers that you didn't like and decided you don't like beer? That's like hating a few tequilas and deciding that liquor isn't for you.

Now, as you prefer sweet alcoholic beverages, I've a few beer suggestions that you might enjoy. (A lot of these are import beers, so they tend to be more expensive.)
- Wheat beers. Lighter in flavor than even a lager, they're usually flavored with hints of citrus or, in the case of Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc Fruits Rouge, rapsberry and elderberry. I'd personally suggest Belgian Moon or the aforementioned Fruits Rouge.
- Radlers. They're usually half pilsner or wheat beer, and half lemon soda, although other varieties exist, like orange, lime, or peach.
- Bud Light Apple. Even though I generally dislike Bud Light, this thing has enough apple flavor that it actually tastes like something besides slightly bitter water.
- Frli. It's a Belgian strawberry beer brewed with 30% strawberry juice.

Or you can ignore all this and stick to mixed drinks and coolers. Totally up to you.

Currently, if you got your ticket through Fandango (who, yes, owns Rotten Tomatoes), then you can write a verified review. Certain theaters (Cinemark, AMC Theaters, and Regal Cinemas) have already signed up to the verification program, and will be rolling that out in the near future. Fandango/RT also plan to work with other ticket providers eventually (which is good, because right now everyone outside the US is locked out of writing a verified review).

Should they have waited until more theaters and ticket providers had signed on before rolling this update out? Definitely. Was this perhaps a little premature? Absolutely. Is this censorship? Fuck no. You can still write and read non-verified audience reviews; they're just not the first thing that users visiting the site will see.

So, I actually read the article. Gita Jackson (who, I might add, is not named "Kotaku") has penned a take that is nuanced, often humorous in tone, and well-researched (and not, in any way, "whining"). Jeremy Hambly, on the other hand, has crafted a take on that article that is blunt, seeking only to mock rather than understand, and devoid of critical merit.
