Everything was going well and he said it didn't seem like the teeth needed to come out at the moment. When he finished examining my teeth, turned off his tools, etc, he said to me "alright my [n-word], you're good to go." He immediately realized what he said and kept apologizing profusely, saying he was sorry, he does not normally speak like this, etc We are both white so I am not sure how to react to this. | green butter 05/10/19 12:32:47 PM #23 | the big, big problem is that the writers forgot (around season 7) of the the importance of alliances in the show. it was a major theme for the majority of the run but now it's been pretty much cast aside for sensational war scenes. in the older seasons, per the logic of the GoT universe, you'd have Cersei marrying off to make strategic alliances, appointing people that she likes to rule over kingdoms that would give her an advantage, building up her small council, etc. instead shes not doing any diplomacy, she seems to be prepared to marry Euron Greyjoy, who will not provide her any advantage other than his stealth boats,etc. it fits her final arc of being this pissed off tyrant with nothing to lose but at this point you barely see cersei as a ruler or a threat, its just a matter of "can our X amount of soldiers defeat her X amount of soliders". To me that is not a compelling plotline /rant --- |
