Let's say you won $1 million in the lottery. You take out $50k for emergencies and live off a $50k salary every year.

So you have 19 years to live as a NEET until the money runs out, but if you invest the rest at just a 6% average return and taking out $50k every year you'll get back about $1.2 million after 19 years (source: https://www.thecalculatorsite.com/finance/calculators/compoundinterestcalculator.php)

The better your average return the more you'll have after 19 years, then you can repeat with a bigger salary for yourself if you want.

you forgot to pay your taxes. you'll most likely see 60% of that money. so you get 50,000 for 12 years, which you probably cant live on, anyway, then back to work.

She's leaving for another job so I would just tell her to hit you up if her situation changes.

Simple as that.

You already tried, she said no.You cant go in looking desperate, but sometimes girls like to play hard to get. Kind of puts you in a "damned if you do damned if you dont" situation. I agree with the above. Let her know you'd be interested but play it off like its her loss.

if you rent, you're most likely paying the landlords mortgage (+ interest), taxes and insurance plus a little extra profit for themselves or to cover repairs.... forever. and if any of those go up, your rent goes up.

Buying = same costs only broken down into individual bills you actually pay. Ends after 30 years or sooner if you can pay extra. Pass on property to your children when you die, keeps it in the family or sold. Property value increases as years go by.

if she is drinking then she shouldn't drive. why dont you offer to drop her off and pick her up. if shes ok with that, you can trust her; if she is not ok with that.....

Would you be in favor of getting employers to give people more hours at other locations and also letting people take second jobs where they work to gain more hours and money?

well you cant make employers give more hours...they have the right to run their business as they want. and you can get a second job.
