The store is pretty limited. I'll probably get AC Origins, Subnautica, and maybe Outer Wilds. $25 all together.

I'd highly recommend Watch Dogs 2 for $5 if you haven't played it yet. Try to play non-confrontational and using your RC/drone as much as possible and it's really fun.

Epic games is giving out a $10-off coupon that you can use on any >$14.98 game. The thing is they give you another $10 coupon every >$14.98 game you buy. So basically, every game (>14.98) is $10 cheaper than the sale price, and all $15 games are actually $5.

So if there's a >$14.98 game you want that's on the Epic store and aren't opposed to using it, it probably has the cheapest price.

So if the twiggy boy managed to bulk up he had to have put in some serious fuckin work

You gain weight by eating, not by lifting weights.

I suppose I could just buy some cheap monitor right now along with parts so that I can test my build and make sure everything is working and then return the monitor within 30 days (and hopefully a monitor I'm actually interested in is in stock by then).

But that feels kind of scummy. I don't like it when people abuse customer-friendly policies.

If the other parts are on a really good sale, why not go ahead and get them? A lot of people building their PCs buy parts as they individually go on sale.

I'd like to buy them close together so that I can easily return things within a 30 day return period if I need to. If I buy some things now and don't end up building until a month from now returns will be more of a hassle.

But the monitor I wanted went on sale while I was at work and completely sold out... Since I'm building from scratch and don't have a monitor to use now I gotta wait for it to go back in stock before I get my parts. I would have gladly paid full price for it too.

First PC build, deciding on whether to go 24" 1080p or 27" 1440 (144hz either way). I'll most likely be using a 5700xt, which is certainly a capable card, but with 1440p I won't be pushing quite as many frames and it means I will have to upgrade sooner.

I heard someone say that medium settings at 1440p is more visually impressive to most than max settings at 1080p, do you agree?

That's what I got out of this. It was the editorializing that they reprimanded for.

I think it sucks, personally, but as the rules stand, it was a legit reason.

What did she actually say? It depends what they are saying is "editorializing". If she simply called what he said "racist", that's not editorializing.

It's pathetic that the alt right has to co-opt everyday symbols to try and pretend at relevance. They're destroying our culture.

Please cite where the 'alt-right' has 'co-opted' the ok symbol.

Why not read the ADL article which explains this?

In 2017, the okay hand gesture acquired a new and different significance thanks to a hoax by members of the website 4chan to falsely promote the gesture as a hate symbol, claiming that the gesture represented the letters wp, for white power. The okay gesture hoax was merely the latest in a series of similar 4chan hoaxes using various innocuous symbols; in each case, the hoaxers hoped that the media and liberals would overreact by condemning a common image as white supremacist.

In the case of the okay gesture, the hoax was so successful the symbol became a popular trolling tactic on the part of right-leaning individuals, who would often post photos to social media of themselves posing while making the okay gesture.

Ironically, some white supremacists themselves soon also participated in such trolling tactics, lending an actual credence to those who labeled the trolling gesture as racist in nature. By 2019, at least some white supremacists seem to have abandoned the ironic or satiric intent behind the original trolling campaign and used the symbol as a sincere expression of white supremacy, such as when Australian white supremacist Brenton Tarrant flashed the symbol during a March 2019 courtroom appearance soon after his arrest for allegedly murdering 50 people in a shooting spree at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The overwhelming usage of the okay hand gesture today is still its traditional purpose as a gesture signifying assent or approval. As a result, someone who uses the symbol cannot be assumed to be using the symbol in either a trolling or, especially, white supremacist context unless other contextual evidence exists to support the contention. Since 2017, many people have been falsely accused of being racist or white supremacist for using the okay gesture in its traditional and innocuous sense.

Oh, is that what the difference was?

Not just layers of clothes, they also allowed you to adjust aspects like the cuffs and necks of the clothes, at least I remember it being that way. Was a damn good system, but you can't sell DLC for outfits if your character creation system is damn near perfect.

Weirdly enough, SR1 actually had slightly more detailed customization than SR2. For example, I remember you could choose to cuff the left or right pant legs individually in 1, but in 2 you could only cuff both at the same time. There were other small differences as well that I can't remember.

But man, I love those two games. The driving, movement, ragdoll, and shooting mechanics just felt so perfect, the story was fun, and Stillwater was great.

To be fair, I mostly enjoyed the first half of RDR2, mostly due to how technologically marvelous it is, but once getting to the island the game really started to wear on me. Every single mission turns into a slog, killing enemies numbering in the triple digits with a combat system that isn't particularly fun or skillful.
