In the hands of someone with good Attacks Per Round, anyone they face that doesn't have Free Action is probably going to end up slowed before the end of the first round and stay that way for the fight. Depends on the fight, I use Slow liberally but stock my level 4 slots with Stoneskins and Spirit Armour because I don't like my mages having shitty AC. There are other weapons that deal multiple types of elemental damage, but combining it with that slow is a pretty strong combo. | synth_real 11/09/19 3:26:42 PM #25 | Take Yoshimo on your first playthrough. He should be on the second floor of the dungeon. Once you get out of the dungeon, make sure you're rested and then go into the circus tent (the one with the guard in front of it.) It's a relatively easy quest, gives a decent reward and a decent party member. Go do the quests underneath the Copper Coronet next, then make sure you have Nalia with you when you do her quest because you get a better reward that way. If you don't like her, you can ditch her once the quest is over and grab another mage instead. If you have the EE, Neera looks like she should be a good pick-up. If you decide to take on other quests straight out of Chateau Irenicus, you may meet some serious difficulty. Go down to layer 10 (open the debug menu with F3 and check your Y coordinate) and dig a long shaft 3 or 4 blocks tall. Then, dig shafts perpendicular to that shaft with 3 blocks between them. It's the best way to cover an area.
