Season 3's biggest problem was it had to focus almost entirely on what season 2 didn't do, set up a future for the series. It wasn't really about what was happening, but what will happen.

Game critics will pretty much never give a AAA release from a major company a bad or even average review for fear of not getting future review copies for doing so. All they care about is the clicks, and you can't get clicks if you can't get a review out faster than everyone else.

When I watch I see a very marginally improved Sticker Star 3 that still has most of the problems SS and Color Splash have, yet the reaction to this games seems to be the polar opposite to Color Splash.

I cant wrap my head around it.

It's mostly all the same people that have been trying to pretend CS was good because the dialogue was occasionally funny. People that didn't like CS mostly just don't care anymore.
