Not to mention that a lot of actual corruption doesn't involve actual money going to a politician either, considering you also have things like news networks hiring the children of politicians to buy special access to or influence their parents (such as Chelsea Clinton earning $600k as a "special consultant" for NBC)

That would fall under favors, which I did mention. But it's also money and most certainly corruption. So explain how that in anyway refutes what I said in the first place? It's corruption. You even called it corruption in your post. So... I don't really see what point you thought you were going to make there.

This is the only valid answer. Without the corruption you remove the influence of special interest groups. Law makers would be working to actually help the people instead of lining their pockets and racking up positives in the favor column. These major issues could actually be resolved without the corruption.

I was interested in reading the article, but not quite enough to bother turning off my ad blocker.

Many sites lately seem to be doing this. Some will have a "no thanks, I don't want to support you" option. But many more don't. Sometimes if I stop the page before it has fully loaded it will bypass their ad block check. But not always. Is there an ad blocker for firefox that all these sites won't notice?

I tried laying in bed while playing the other day but my shoulder really hurt from the position I was in. I wish text was my only issue.

You need to get one of those reclining pillow/chair thingies. A good quality one that's firm enough to support you without getting squished out of shape. The taller ones let you sit up a little more without needing to prop extra pillows behind it.

It's been in Vegas for as long as I have been aware of it. Tickets for it are already on sale. Coincidentally it happens to be January 20-23 next year and my birthday is the 22nd. Would make for an entertaining birthday.

Nah. You're fine. Modern smart phones recognize when the battery is full and stop charging, then use the power cord as it's power source to keep it on while not draining or charging the battery.

I keep a charger in my car so if I need to leave the house without charging I will plug it in as soon as I get in the car.

Perhaps limiting their ability to spend could is a first step for them. They have at least acknowledged their issue and then chose to limit their ability to overspend until they grow up a little more. Admitting the problem is the first step in fixing it.

You had plenty of time to hit the eject button once the critical damage sequence started. I never died and lost my save file.

The controller was the best part. Sure, it looks a little daunting with 40 buttons. But they all served a purpose and it's not like you were constantly using all of them. I got the hang of the controller pretty quickly.

It's very irritating. Been wearing one at work for the last few weeks because it is required. Now that it's getting warm it's uncomfortable to breath with it on and the band have been irritating the backs of my ears. So all this week I haven't really been wearing the damn thing.

I was interested in everything they had to say. If only they had an alternate version, set up like a proper article, without all that side scrolling forever to get to the next couple of sentences. I got bored and backed out once they got to the stuff about trillions. I knew then that it was going to go on for a very long time.

I understand the purpose of the scrolling. Helps to really get across the idea of that much wealth for the people who have a hard time with the concept. But at some point there needs to be a "Ok... I fucking get it. Just show me the rest of what you have to say" link to a proper article.

I have a reusable cloth mask that I wear at work. But only because it's a site wide policy. No mask, no work. I take it with me when I go to stores in case it's one that requires a mask to enter. But I don't bother wearing one if it isn't required.
