Girls can be choosers, guys can't unless they are exceptionally weathy or attractive

There's exceptions but in the vast majority of cases guys are expected to put in the work trying to hook up with a girl whether it be for casual sex or a relationship. And that effort doesn't mean you will get results.

Even when I was in my late teens/early and I was super cut I would always get turned down. Now I'm 30, not in as good shape as I use to be, and women aren't remotely interested in talking to me.

Kneeing during the anthem is seen as disrespect by a lot of people who grew up in Military Famalies and either they themselves fought in or had Famaily memembers that fought in a Vietnam in WWII

It's not a Universal opinion nor should the message the protest is sending should be underminded at all, but lots of people view the National Anthem as a gesture to honor fallen Soldiers or people that died in 9/11

The Mike brown case was so long ago I kind of forget all the deatails or what details ended up being true or not.

From what I recall feeling at the time I kinda remember thinking that neither side (ie Brown and the cop) were necessarily evil but obviously both took things too far which unfortunately ended up with brown dead.

But yeah alot of the other big murders were definitely awful and the cops involved indefensible.

Perhaps Officer Wilson was too quick to pull a gun out but Mike Brown tried to wrestle the gun away from him, which seems like intent to kill Wilson.

The "Hands Up Don't Shoot" quote was media created bs. Brown was wanted for armed robbery, although if Wilson knew this or not was in question.

I agree with this, the rioters and looter deserve to be arrested and prosecuted
But we still need to adress racial inequality swiftly as possible. America needs to do better, this discrimination against is not the ideals the country stands for.

And yes there is a history of racism glossed over. However the inherent principles of this country stood for something that should sooner overcome racism, it still has not happened.

Imo Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, and Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves all stole the movie and scenes they were in. And considering everybody except Mary E. Winstead was absolutely spectacular in that movie (who I don't even think was that bad just a tad bland), it's high praise.

Makes me wonder what happened to her as Captain Marvel.

Originally Mutants were meant to be a stand in for the issues of race/class/gender/whatever in the modern US, at the time so there is that.
There are three reasons: people like Magneto exists who believe Mutants are superior and need to rule over non-Mutants.

Mutants are a bit of a heavy-handed allegory for marginalized groups, so they have to jump through some hoops to make them hated while normal supers are generally well regarded. The real answer is...mutants basically represent a threat to humanity as a whole. They can come from anywhere, have any power/ability imaginable, and are often first manifested as unstable teenagers with anger issues.
