Been a long time since high school, but here goes:

For 6 successes out of 60 attempts:
(60! / (6! * 54!)) * (1/3)^6 * (2/3)^54 = 0.00212%

For 1 success out of 10 attempts:
(10! / (1! * 9!)) * (1/3)^1 * (2/3)^9 = 8.67076%

Yeah, but knowing the exact formula is ultimately pointless. Just pay your bills on time like you're supposed to and you don't really have to worry about that.
A quick Google search tells me only about 20% of Americans have a credit score >800.

People not paying bills on time for whatever reason is not exactly an uncommon phenomenon, surely it matters to those people?

CableZL posted...
Payment history is whether or not you have been paying your bills on time for 7 years. On time payments = good. Late payments = bad. Accounts with so many missed payments they've been sent to collections = even worse.

I know what payment history means in the general sense, what's unclear is how FICO condenses that information into one single number exactly. They won't tell you, yet that number may have a significant impact on your life.

i have a third answer

not everything that can be proven on paper means it exists physically.
That's why you should try it out physically. Make 3 doors, place a prize without a friend seeing, have them pick a door, open one goat door and let him decide if he wants to switch. Take note of whether or not he chose to switch and whether or not he won.

Repeat a couple thousand times and report back here.

the odds for the other door don't go down just because someone else entered the room and told you what new door to pick. if it did we need to be researching this shit right away as it could lead to the discovery of multiverses

Feel free to get yourself some pieces of paper and a very patient friend and try it out for yourself a thousand times. You'll see that switching doors wins more often.

Nobody is bashing Trump for having time off, he's being bashed because:

  1. During his campaign he went out of his way several times to promise he won't be golfing when he's in the white house, because he'd be working so hard. This makes him a liar.
  2. He has criticized Obama multiple times for his golf trips, including when he golfed during the Ebola outbreak. Trump has now golfed during a pandemic that's many times worse. This makes him a hypocrite.
  3. He's golfing at his own golf courses and the tax payer's money that's spent on having the security service stay at his hotels is going straight into Trump's pockets. This makes him corrupt.

Indeed it's easy to program a test for this, there are many examples on github. Here's a simple one:

And yes, the chances of winning actually DO increase when switching doors. It's not just theoretical talk.

Should I switch rapid mode to the gaming SSD or not even bother?

Opinions are mixed on it: https://superuser.com/questions/742765/is-it-beneficial-to-enable-rapid-mode-on-a-samsung-solid-state-drive

Either way, just know that those 4k numbers aren't what you get in real world situations. Both drives are about the same in terms of speed.

Pretty sure the test tool you're using is messing up.

There's no way an 850 pro would get over 4 gigs of r/w speeds. Samsung advertises them at 550MB and I can't find any benchmark that goes well beyond that.

It's not just the mutant powers the Marvel people fear. Some mutants don't even have dangerous powers, they just look weird and they still get hated.

Mutant powers are caused by genetics and any child born might be a mutant. People fear mutants are the next step in evolution and that they will take over from the regular humans and make them second class citizens or worse. This (in their eyes) makes mutants an existential threat to the human race. Much like homo sapiens was to Neanderthals.

It also doesn't help acceptance is that you have mutant terrorists like Magneto running around calling themselves homo superior and actively try to start wars with humans.

If the player is forced to make informed decisions on what to carry, that's fine. Like choosing between carrying extra health recovery or extra weapons/ammo.
However it's pretty annoying when you get a whole bunch of different materials with no indication on whether they're going to be useful later. Remember those pieces of scrap metal you kept dropping to make room for useful stuff in the early dungeons? Yeah you need 100 of them to craft the next weapon now, good luck.
