Reviews might help adjust expectations, but if I'm really interested in playing a game the reviews are unlikely to stop me.

Ninja Warrior isn't quite the same. That's more of a pro-am take, with some funny bits thrown in. It lacks that gameshow goofery. Also, Ninja Warrior is like 15 years old?

Then one of the dozens of copycats I mentioned should scratch your itch. Main point is that athletic game shows were revived long before this Netflix show, which is basically just Wipeout set indoors.

In a sense it's a good thing because who cares about being 'too mature' for liking stuff you like. But it also means way less new stuff.

Lots of old people watched football and baseball as children and are still very invested in them now.

Some games are best left as one and done.

AAA doesn't even always refer to big budget. Modern Nintendo games get called AAA all the time when the quality is a couple generations behind the truly high budget games.

They're annoying most of the time. You see a hot thumbnail, then are greeted with a bunch of of different people and scenes that you never asked for and aren't as good as the preview indicated. Just feels like waiting for the scene in the thumbnail to show up.

I was kinda looking forward to Beyond Good and Evil 2 but haven't heard anything about it in a while.

Even if it was it would likely be treated like a lesser holiday that the people that need it the most wouldn't be allowed off anyway.

Having too many options can definitely be bad when you can only choose one. It increases the chances of that choice being a bad one.

Thirsty ass men see a woman going on 20 dates with different men as being successful, while from her POV she failed to find a decent person to go out with 20 times in a row.

It's harder for women in a sense that they're presented with waaay too many options, and not enough time to actually determine which one is best for them long-term.

It probably should be reduced a little by proportion of how long they were dead, but yeah if a character does 90% of the damage through the battle then gets killed right before the boss dies they still essentially experienced most of that battle...

Going from 100+ doors to 2 doors isn't really the same thing. You were most likely going to pick the wrong door before, and going down to 2 basically reveals the right door, since your first pick was very unlikely to get the right door. There's no reason to not switch after such a huge change in probability.

Going from 3 to 2 doors, you had a pretty high 33.3% chance you were right the first time, and switching is technically a better chance, but you had a decently high chance to begin with, so you are much more likely to be wrong if you switch, compared to the 100 to 2 example.

I'm not trying to suggest that the next movie has to already be setting up the next huge cosmic threat, but the placement of this movie is just fucking odd.

Yelena Belova is in the movie. She's extremely likely to be the new Black Widow for the new wave.

It's sort of a Captain Marvel situation, trying to squeeze in a new character (Nat's successor Yelena Belova) that has "been around this whole time" to make them seem more "official" instead of a random new replacement showing up.

The only way $20 is too much is if you only go to movies alone. Going to the theater is much more expensive for a group or families.
