Why even have this in there? I've yet to see a single non-male, non-gay furry. Admittedly, I've never gone looking for them, but every single time I come across them, they're gay males. Why is that?

Female furries and straight male ones certainly exist. Case in point, my own brother and sister. As for me personally, I'm a bi guy one.

My best run was 15, but for the last two weeks I can't get beyond 7-8, which sucks because there's a weekly quest that requires reaching 10 and I've only ever completed it once since I started playing. Bloody damn RNG.

On the plus side, I finally managed to make some progress in the event quests. Just needed some "anti-Mech" biochips and I was finally able to shred through Yoori (with 6 stars even).

All the ones Ive played for any length of time rerun non-collab events either as actually reruns or adding them to an archive. Im not doubting you though, I just havent played enough different gachas. It sucks that thats a thing.

Depends on the game I suppose, or rather, the age of the game. I imagine older ones have had ample time to rerun stuff or add archives as you mentioned, whereas newer ones don't have an established schedule yet, or they're still trying to draw in crowds with rapid-fire new content before simmering down.

I mean, the Arknights one I mostly missed out on was summer themed (swimsuit skins and all), so maybe it'll be back next year, same with this event in Battle Divas, but that's still "guessing" and not "knowing".

Anyway, it's going to suck watching another event count down without me getting much out of it. Back to farming mod chips and gear shards elsewhere I guess.

I think I hit the wall in Battle Divas. All of the characters I've been using so far are at max level (Ashanti at 50, everyone else at 40) and I'm stuck unable to clear 6-7 in the main story or 2-2 in the White Empress event to proceed farther in either of those stories.

Same here (albebeit with a 45 Nightingale instead), and it's been getting on my nerves all day with the endless defeats.

If this is the part where they expect you to grind/pay to advance, it kind of makes the whole "all characters are free" a moot point if you're walled off from half of them (including their weapons just to increase level cap) without lucky chest rolls or weeks/months of farming (and I say that as someone who already has the characters from chapters 11/12/13, so I have less to chase then some of you guys do).

But you know what, fine, the main story is one thing, it's *always* going to be there to work on and I had already accepted that possible carrot on a stick and potential difficulty spike. Annoying, but eventually doable.

Stonewalling/paygating time-limited events though? That's bullshit, and a criticism I held against Arknights recently as well. And it would be one thing if we knew *any* of these events will repeat, but from my experience, games rarely ever rerun non-holiday stuff, at *best* they'll let some rewards become purchasable later (and not always via premium currency, you have to shell out actual cash).

I can be made to work, toil, and wait for what I want for years, I've done it in other games, and I've never been against paying as well when the timing suited me. Trying to force me to "buy now or lose it forever" just makes me start to question why I keep something installed if it's going to be that aggressive with the monetization, or if I feel I've "missed out" on too much of the game to justify sticking with it anymore.

The blue letter is as rare as legendary, I think divine or something like that. Divine Protection is one of those, but you need the Emperor set for the full set effect, which makes her ultra broken if you can get to her ultimate quickly.

Nightingale having a legendary is really good. You pretty much need her sometimes because a mission will ask to keep the units healthy or something. Oh... checking it out, you got the one weapon out of all of them that doesn't heal. I think that's fine if you can spam her ultimate somehow. She probably better suited as a healer, but the attack range on Mandala is pretty good at least

Helen and Celeste, their biggest weakness is that you need to progress quite far to unlock their 1st and 2nd weapons. Seems Code: Sphinx is just standard dps with stacking debuff, so attacking the same enemy works for her. It's not piercing though, which kinda sucks providing her range, but it sounds like a pretty powerful boss killer. She keeps stacking these charges on herself, and you can see the charges on the bottom left as a small greenish icon. The more you have, the stronger the ult basically.

Celeste I haven't used outside Infinite War, but Fake God's Phalanx sounds pretty nutty. Basically kill the marked guy and she becomes an uber lifesteal tank.

A decent team usually has a frontliner, a long range attacker, a healer, and a flex anyways so you have a pretty good base. Don't be afraid to just use Nightingale's 2nd weapon instead. A lot of times the 2nd weapon are usually just as good as the legendaries because they serve other purposes

Sadly the game refuses to give me that last piece of Fran's set, so I can't really exploit that option yet.

Yeah, I pretty much keep Nightingale in all my fights, minus the challenge objectives that specifically tell me not to use her. She's already level 43, maxed the level of her first weapon, and the second is at 5. I figure I'll get use out of her legendary when I have another healer she can swap roles with, though I'm not sure who else gets healing weapons.

I love using Celeste as well, pretty much my go-to melee unit still despite having Fran (though in her defense she's just under-leveled from being new), and Sarah usually ends up my ranged unit because she has the most reliant range/spread. (Angela and Val have point-blank dead zones, Helen can only shoot in one direction at a time, and Ashanti is too random.)

Fourth slot has been whoever I needed for a task or a certain enemy type, so a revolving door of Angela, Shion, Vel, and Fran.

It's also possible that, in addition to new characters, they might add new weapons for old characters in the future as ways to buff them.

In other words, no one's waifu or husbando of choice can be truly power crept and everyone will remain viable in some way. Hell, new weapons don't even need to have straight up more attack power, just giving someone access to an element they didn't have before, changing their targetting range, or allowing them to buff/debuff/heal in lieu of damage can be a game changer.

I've been lucky with Fran by getting her full set and not getting like a mix or missing one. However, I liked the game b4 getting Fran because the battles have been really fun, and figuring out how to get the max stars on every battle has been strategically gratifying and rewarding.

Oh for sure, as much as I joke about catgirls and the like, it takes more than that to keep me invested in a game (mobile or otherwise). In the case of Battle Divas, it helps that I'm also a sucker for SRPGs, and that the last one I tried (War of the Visions) turned out to be disappointing (and that one gave it's catgirl away for free!).

Don't get hung up on getting max star on all the stages and just progress. There's a bit of a difficulty wall in Ch 8ish where you unlock these legendary weapon stages. The earlier you unlock them the better, and the missions in the previous levels are a lot easier with more weapons.

At the very least it's worth getting enough stars to unlock the chapter character, though that's assuming they're the first/second stage reward.

Don't necessarily reroll for characters you unlock later because you'll have to wait quite a while til you can 2*+ them >.>. You can beat everything with early characters.

That's probably meant to be the downside of getting someone early; Their growth takes longer because you're short their default/end of chapter weapons.

I've heard Ch 8 is where a lot of ppl who like the game start feeling a bit iffy about it. I'm afraid to ruin the image of the game, but maybe I'll just do legendary weapon runs on the side (they're 50 stam so probably will take a while) and focus on other games and such.

Well, we already discussed earlier how their might be a difficulty spike somewhere to keep people from finishing the story too soon, it was just a question of whether or not it was going to be a paywall. From the sounds of it, they're going to detour us with some grinding.

And it may not be a hurtle you can buy your way past either, if the key to those later battles is the effects of those legendary weapons and not the level cap increase.

Speaking of coincidences... there was a mini-update today but I have no idea what it did. Given some of the recent talk about tilted summon odds for Fran, and the two biggest grumblers about it *just* got her, I'm legit curious if they stealth patched a possibly broken gacha rate.

Can you imagine? A company actually *increasing* drop rates because they knew something was busted/too low, instead of letting people continue getting snubbed while pretending nothing was wrong.

Hell, Fran wasn't my only new character today either.

Between her, Fran, and Celeste, I'll only need to reach chapter 10 to get everybody now. Another detail I noticed (though this could have been true even before today), is that the max star level is 6, and you go up one level per new weapon, but every character has 7-8 weapons. This means that even though gear is the gacha, you're not forced to get *every* weapon to cap someone's rarity, coupled with how at least a few weapons aren't gacha at all, you farm for them like everyone else.

Maybe it's just the "honeymoon phase" talking, but Battle Divas continues to impress me with how it actively tries to avoid being scummy despite several opportunities to do so (albeit the "fixed" summons thing could just be coincidence as I said earlier).

At most, it seems that one fight against those werewolf brothers is "event-ish" in the sense that it ends on the 25th, but it could also be a rotation thing where it gets replaced with another special fight before coming back later (as opposed to never coming back at all or only once a year).

I'm trying to roll the featured banner girl right now because I got her full set but it's not looking optimistic... Hoping to get another full roll, cuz having to beat basically the whole game to unlock her is absurd.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a mechanic that makes it hard/impossible to roll the "newest" character. Case in point, I haven't heard of anyone getting Fran during their initial 20 roll, or how you're not the only one I know of that got her whole set fron the current banner, but have yet to summon her specifically.

Which is probably one way the gacha gonna getcha as it were. Sure, every character is free, but how long would it take to unlock the latest ones assuming you're using dropped gear and starter/freebie weapons? I'd hate to think at some point that there's a literal paywall if the difficulty ever spikes to hard.

Right now I'm giving the game the benefit of a doubt that it won't pull something like that, but I still wonder what they might do to level-off/slow progress so people don't burn through the whole game too soon or to create an incentive to buy.

That's some absolutely horrendous luck if you really went all 20 without a single weapon. It took me 7 of the 20 rolls to pull the weapon to get the cute cyborg doll loli that I wanted, and I pulled some kind of weapon (and a character with it) in at least half of them.

Oof, yeah, of my 19 rolls before I settled, half of them gave me a weapon/character.

I actually *skipped* Celeste the first tme she appeared (about 3rd roll) because I was curious about who else would show up and pressed my luck. Thankfully she came back right there at the end otherwise I would have done without an early extra myself, haha.

I do think some of the numbers are off. I've had ones where you couldn't fall below a certain amount of HP end up succeeding when I thought I failed because the game can't consistently decide what's 30% and not.

Also you guys try the Infinite Battle? I honestly think that's one of the best modes I've seen in an F2P game ever. It's basically like draft decks where you get to try out some pretty op combo of passives and skills.

Yes, and it's made me fall in love with Sigurd. Watching them SPACE LANCE Dauntless Charge into mobs every fight never gets old.

I'm enjoying it as well. I went with Celeste (slutty nun, lol) because apparently she's good and I'm a sucker for scythes.

I honestly don't know who's best or whatnot, I just went with what I found most aesthetically pleasing. Even then I know my lewd filled heart is fleeting for Celeste, because there's a robo-catgirl with a maid costume in this game.

Not sure if it was possible to free pull Fran though, as she's unlocked in chapter 13 (presumably one of the newest ones) *and* there's an offer to roll for her and her unique sets from a current chest in the shop, so it would be in their best interest to make you chase a bit harder if you want her early. (It certainly robbed me of my earliest gems.)

Apparently, ranking up characters is based on getting different weapons for that character. So multiple copies of the same weapon (if you can even pull them at all) won't help in this regard.

Yeah, and at least a couple of weapons can't be found in the gacha at all, you have to unlock them in story missions same as everyone else.

Based on what little I've done so far, the gameplay is simple yet strategic, almost Fire-Emblem-ish in a way with how you're moving your characters around the grid to position them for attacks.

The element mechanic is pretty cool too, in the sense that aiming for and breaking enemy parts actually pays off, or how even older weapons will stay relevant due to giving a character access to an element you might want/need for certain fights down the road.

I also like that set bonuses are a thing we get to play around with right away, whereas in most other games they're an endgame/cash shop only thing. I love how the "Novice" set literally summons a heal bot, just to give you a taste of what set bonuses can do beyond "inflate xyz stat".

Yeah, I know some folks here take rerolling pretty seriously, so when it seemed like I was the first here to start talking about the game post-launch, I wanted to give a heads up that it's not going to be a dealbreaker this time around because you're not going to feel crippled from a "bad" first pull or thar you *need* to get some meta unit day-one if you want to compete early.

Liking Battle Divas so far, find it a bit weird though that among all the waifus, there's random ninja guy. I guess they felt the need to include a playable semi-silent protagonist-kun?

Anyway, true enough, seems all characters can be unlocked by progressing through the story (and one via a series of challenges), though you'll have a chance to unlock one of them early (with a free legendary weapon) via a 20 reroll box. I'm not sure *all* of them are available, but then I only saw a few of them before I started to run out and had to settle for whoever showed up next (slooty nun with a giant pink scythe is one hell of a consolation prize though).

Keep in mind that *not* every reroll includes a character, so be very careful of holding out too long otherwise you'll miss out on a early freebie. At the same time though, you lose nothing permanently (character or weapon) if you end up with nobody extra at all.

This past event's difficulty spike for challenge mode basically requiring me to E1 half my roster was an exercise in frustration.

I suppose I can actually clear most of the ch 3 and 4 challenges I skipped now, and work on ch 5, but eh.

At least you were able to tackle the challenge modes at all for that event, I couldn't even beat all of the *normal* modes because of that fucking lava snail boss.

Even the lowbie-friendly guides weren't enough, as most of them required using *4 units I didn't have built up or didn't have at all.

Couple that with having no OG Prime for any of the swimsuits, and this summer event was friggin' meh for me.
