It's like...they're not getting bitten in the context of the story. That's why when it happens as PART of the story there is often a part where they need to cure it.

Resident Evil is decently explained, the herbs Umbrella experiments with stave off actual infection you need to be a pretty high dose to actually be infected.

I don't see a problem with those complaints, by making a story like the Tomb Raider reboot, where she freaks out after killing someone, but then goes on to kill hundreds during the game it doesn't really fit.

Doom Guy mows down countless demons, but it isn't like the story has any reason to pretend he has moral quibbles about it.

And I still have no idea why they brought back Ethan when he is such a bland character instead of somebody like Billy who could get thrown in, and he hasn't been in a title in years.

https://qz.com/india/1828970/over-200000-indians-could-die-waiting-for-a-us-green-card/

This has been a problem for decades. It's gotten significantly worse.

I agree that the immigration system and specifically limits on specific countries is a something that needs to be reworked. But that is not and was never what this discussion was about.

We are talking about Indian-Americans. Not Indians who want to be Americans. Or at least I was, and you have pulled this into a very different direction.

SquantoZ posted...
Weird history? You mean the history that is openly available for you to research that schools refused to teach you about. Research the history of systemic racism and how that further enables the advantages of white privilege.

Dude, name something specifically because I got taught most of what you will mention.

I live in New York, my father grew up in Spain before he immigrated here. I know a lot of immigrants.

I know about the system alright, more than most people I'm sure.

Don't just go "research how you are wrong dude" tell me. I've provided examples of specific things. I've put out specific places where white Americans do fall short compared to other ethnic groups in the US.

I don't think history taught in the majority of US schools is skewed.

I did read the article, the reason why people don't accept the idea of white privilege is that in terms of income and education which I think most people view as the most important, that factor isn't there.

So you have no knowledge of it to argue against it. Why even come into this topic if you choose to continue to be ignorant?

you could've just said "No, I didn't read the articles."

1. You are picking and choosing scenarios that don't prove anything against it since you don't have any background knowledge of it.
2. Indian Americans with high salaries are normally high level medical, technical, and financial industry professionals. Companies in those industries insist on hiring the best of the best. Most of them are on company sponsored visas. To obtain a visa, companies have to prove to the USCIS that these individuals are needed because they can't find anyone within the country with their particular qualifications.
3. See point #2. Guess what two countries produce the largest number of work visas in high income fields in the US. India and China.
4. Money is not the only thing that white privilege is. Read the articles if you want to learn more.

I did look through the article. Didn't see anything of note other than what I said, looking through politics or the weird history view they take.

Everyone I've talked to where the subject came up knows about the trail of tears, now what generally gets left out there is that native Americans brought their slaves too, some having hundreds of slaves with them.

If white privilege isn't about money, educated, or criminal convictions what is it about?

And quick question, why are you assuming Indian Americans aren't citizens? That's a pretty weird comment to put.

Here you go! This should take you less than 30 minutes to go through.

Because while white Americans certainly have advantages over black Americans, lots of stats kinda run counter to the big white privilege thing.

The highest earning ethnic group in the US is Inidan Americans, who make nearly double what the average white American makes. So how exactly does white privilege make them succeed?

The average asian family has a higher average income than white families, the average asian American is more educated than the average white American (and the majority of foreign born asian Americans have college degrees), asian Americans are less likely to be convicted of a crime than white Americans.

Sure there isn't enough asian representation in Hollywood, or as board executives, or involved in politics. But I'm sure that will change (except for Hollywood anyway)

The average white American isn't looking at how many Justices are white, he cares about money and his place in society, and the average white American is in fact not the highest earning race in the US.

No shit all lives matter, but shut up and try and help or go away.

I don't like this logic because it implies other races don't have issues with the police.

Remember that white kid who was shot in the back by police after "refusing to comply" when he was wearing noise-cancelling headphones and walking down the street?

Or when a white guy called the police and said his schizophrenia was acting up and he needed help, only to be killed by the police while they laughed and cracked jokes about him.

I'm sure you at least remember the white guy who was killed in the hallway while police were barking contradicting orders at him on how to move down the hallway.

There is an issue with discrimination in the police department, but don't act like abuses of police are some issue that only are a problem that only black people have to deal with.

I'm not saying Black Lives Matter is a bad slogan, I just think that thing you posted is bad.

From a RotS interview

Anakin, as Skywalker, as a human being, was going to be extremely powerful, but he ended up losing his arms and a leg and became partly a robot. So a lot of his ability to use the Force, a lot of his powers, are curbed at this point, because, as a living form, theres not that much of him left. So his ability to be twice as good as the Emperor disappeared, and now hes maybe 20 percent less than the Emperor. So that isnt what the Emperor had in mind. He wanted this really super guy, but that got derailed by Obi-Wan. So he finds that, with Luke, he can get a more primo version if he can turn Luke to the dark side. Youll see, as this goes on, Luke is faced with the same issues and practically the same scenes that Anakin is faced with. Anakin says yes and Luke says no."

So if Palps is a 10, Vader is an 8. But Anakin could have been a 20.

Easily would have been the most powerful.

Protesting is great, rioting is bad.

One thing I will say is that there need to be some established demands with the current stuff.

Be more specific that just "this needs to stop" since that won't accomplish anything.

Like start mandated cameras on police with their whole work in full view, so we cut down on planted drug charges.

Get rid of no knock warrants in plainclothes, and imo at least get rid of plainclothes unless in an investigation (so undercover work and such can continue)

Create an independent government organization for investigating police officers, instead of checking themselves (unless they booted it higher)

I'm sure there are problems that can arise from what I said, but there are certainly people smarter than me that can set it right.

Wipeout just has weapons and focuses too much there.

F-Zero just feels better to control, has the mayhem from the mass amount of races who are all very unique visually and have plenty of character for a game such as this, and in my opinion the track design and music is better on the F-Zero front.
