For every silly idea Steyer has (Term limits LOL), his head (or at least his voice) is in the right place on a lot more issues honestly.

I'm still not going to support him in the primary because fuck the idea of a billionaire essentially trying to buy the nomination/Presidency

I used to group Steyer and Bloomberg together but after looking into them both more Steyer is leagues better than Bloomberg. He's pretty solid on a lot of stuff, actually. But like you said, he isn't who I would pull for in the primary but I at least wouldn't be too grumpy if he won the nomination (an impossibility at this point, but just speaking theoretically).

Unfortunately "alright" for Biden is going to be considered a great performance. He's graded on a different curve than everyone else. As long as he doesn't screw up too bady it will sadly help him (or at the very least keep him treading water).

The detective paced back and forth throughout the room. He was dressed in a three piece suit and smoked from an old timey pipe. He had a weathered look to him, and the case was clearly starting to wear on him. He took time to make eye contact with everyone in the room, looking for someone to flinch or blink or give some sort of indication they were uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the killers would not be caught so easily. He moved to the front of the room, right in front of the large bay window, before clearing his throat and tucking his pipe into his coat pocket.

I suppose you are all wondering why I called you here.

Is it the murder? a woman in the front asked. She motioned to the body that laid in the middle of the room. It was the year 2018, dressed in all its finest. Multiple knives were lodged in its back and a pool of blood had coagulated under its body.

Yes. Well, no. Yes and no. Ive called you here because Ive cracked the case.

His announcement was met with a variety of gasps from the crowd. A cacophony of voices cried out asking who and how and why and when and where. The where people were the dumbest people since the body was laying in front of them, but the detective decided to give them a pass.

It was just the reaction he was hoping for. Truth be told, he was lying. After a full day of interviewing all the suspects, he had nothing. No leads. No suspects. No clue as to the who or the why or any of the other stuff. Except maybe there where. The where he was pretty sure of.

Confidence was important now. If he was going to pull off this bluff, he couldnt show his hand. He slowly sat down in a chair, and lit his pipe once more. Lets start from the beginning.

4) Do not share any information about your role or alignment or anything with someone via PM for any reason. I might need replacements, so don't share it with people outside the game. There might be some role that means dead players might still be able to influence the game somehow, so don't share anything with people who have previously been lynched/killed/etc. Just don't.

My point wasn't so much that redistricting was "magic" - I was being facetious. It was that her district doesn't just disappear. It would be incorporated into another district, and she's already BEATEN a powerful, recognizable dem to get the seat she has now. Which congressperson is going to go "oh yeah put in me coach I can beat her" when they just saw the beatdown she gave to the 4th most powerful dem in the house. PLUS say they could gerrymander things so well that she was in trouble somehow. It split her base oh so perfectly and it was actually a tough matchup for her. THEN the dems would use that power to cut out a republican. You know, from the part of the state that is losing population? Not from her district which is growing every year.

And yeah the idea moderate dems hate her more than republicans when every republican with a talk show dedicates hours to her weekly is hilarious.

Cutting AOC's district just means she wins the new district, so that'd be dumb of the DCCC to cut her district to try to get rid of her.

Yeah, plus if the DCCC has the magical ability to gerrymander things so well that even AOC (one of the most recognizable figures in the democratic party who just beat a democratic incumbent anyway) is in trouble, why wouldn't they do it in such a way to eliminate a republican seat?
