Ehh, I'm going to err on the conservative side and say Low Fodder for Squidward. Normally, the character adults identify with most from a cartoon would be well-positioned to be among its strongest on a site like GameFAQs. In Squidward's case, however, I think nostalgia is such a huge governing factor that he might still suffer among the younger third of GameFAQs from being the SpongeBob character kids disliked. Combine that with my skepticism that the older two-thirds of this site cares about SpongeBob in general (it's rather new for a kids' show here, where the average DOB is in early 1987) and you get a close vote.

I will agree with Low Fodder for Keen and Fetus, albeit obviously a much weaker degree than Squidward.

Also, while we're on the subject of pixel-art indie platformer characters, I'll nominate Madeline for re-ranking. Despite its narrow and unexpected loss, Celeste itself looked to be roughly Mid Fodder in GotD. Madeline's strength should track closely to her game, both because it's the norm for platformer protagonists on GameFAQs and for reasons more specific to Celeste.

I can't personally attest to this, but I've heard that Doom Eternal cranked up the Doom Slayer's power level all out of proportion with where it was before. If true, you should probably either specify he's as seen in Doom 2016, or swap him with Mewtwo/Popeye.

Otherwise, I'm hyped to ...probably not even argue for my characters or maybe even vote in general!

Sorry, but I don't care if TNG ran into the 90s - it doesn't change my basic point, which is that 87-94 is just too old for GameFAQs in general to feel nostalgia for a show that isn't explicitly oriented towards kids. The average GameFAQs user was 7 (and a few months) when the TNG finale aired, and the movies and Picard didn't appeal beyond the existing Star Trek fanbase.

Also, since I'm here, posting again even though I didn't intend to do so, I guess I'll nominate what should be the final contest veterans I haven't yet: Black Shadow, Commander Keen, Jim Raynor, Kaim Argonar, Sho Minamimoto, Sissel, and The Great Mighty Poo. I agree with LAW Fodder for Chop Chop (among jokey side characters from obscure, very Japanese 5th-gen games, he's more important than SBD, but comes from a game voters care about less) and Low Fodder for Don Paolo.

However, I'm going to say Low Fodder for Data because no supporting character from an 80s TV series will ever amount to much on GameFAQs, and Low Fodder for Trump because this site in general absolutely has quite a notable proportion of alt-righters and other types who would consider it funny to vote for him.

That was another excellent chapter! I promise I read it when you corrected the Google doc link; I just didn't feel like writing up a comment until now.

I'm obviously happy Winona lived, though hopefully her group will have some longer scenes and perhaps encounter other characters soon. Also, I'm really glad Harlon exists to add extra tension from within; he's definitely one of the characters I'm hoping continues to survive, at least for now.

Krabs is close to Mid Fodder, but I'm not convinced that all that many voters would even care to vote for SpongeBob in a GameFAQs character battle, let alone any of the side characters who should all be a fair bit weaker.

Meanwhile, Venkman is not quite iconic enough and doesn't quite have enough of a video gaming legacy to do much for anyone who isn't a huge fan of a movie and/or TV series that are both a bit too old for GameFAQs as a whole.

Can confirm that I'm still playing Battle Chasers, even though I've been slow about it. I did continue today, clearing the Iron Outpost, then pushing on a bit further to acquire my next few objectives. Assuming I pick up my pace, I should hopefully still be able to beat it by the end of the month.
