I will never forgive her for doing that. Then last year, my Mum and bf say they want to adopt another dog. So they go to their local dog shelter and see these dogs. Sisters apparently. Keira and Katy. My Mum decided she couldn't possibly separate them. So adopted them both. They were adult dogs that had never been trained. They weren't housebroken. They were wild. I told Ma a hundred times that she never should've adopted two at the same time. I knew she wouldn't want to be putting it in the work and i told her again and again that it was a terrible idea. Couple weeks later, i call her - asking about Keira and Katy and she says "They were too much to handle, so they're back at the shelter..." Yesterday, my Ma responded to an ad looking to rehome a Lab puppy. | SpaceBear_ 07/03/20 1:38:59 AM #1 | I feel guilty, but i did the right thing. BlogFAQS Long story short, my Mum lives way off in the country and I'm a 40 min drive away. Our family dog was a beautiful Portuguese water dog. His name was Woolly and he was my bestest boy. After moving away, my only reason for going home was to see my good boy. My Mum and her bf barely knew he was there most of the time. It was a country house and he was an outdoor dog, prone to disappearing for a few hours a day. Off on his own adventures. Mum's bf liked taking him for walks occasionally. But whenever i went to visit, and the time i lived at my Mum's over the winters of 2012-2018, Woolly and i would go on mega adventures ever day. My heart hurts as I'm writing this. I loved him so much. One day, my Mum calls me up and says Woolly is ill. She'd taken him to the vets and they said he had heartworm which it is upposedly incurable. I immediately hung up the phone and went off to her house. But my car was broken down and i called around but everyone i knew with a car was too busy. I don't have Uber, so i just went to the bus stop. Thankfully, the bus came soon and i took it to a town with a bus station about halfway to her house. Our family home is kind of in the middle of nowhere. The next buses to anywhere near our place were done for the day. So i started walking. I knew it would take me about two and a half hours. But my heart was breaking over poor Woolly. Years back, I'd adopted my own stray dog, Mumpo. I was told he had heartworm when i took Mumpo on and we had a few amazing days before he passed. I buried him down near the beach. Since my Mum and her bf barely gave Wool any attention, i was dead set on getting there so he could spend his last hours with someone he loved. As I'm trekking to my Mum's house, she calls me and asks what I'm doing. I told her "I'm on the way to your house, actually. I need to see Woolly."
