It was quite disturbing. The fact that either Peridot was forcing them to fuse together, or burying them in the crust of the Earth after their defeat forced them together (you know, like how gems are made IRL)... it's disturbing. It was a quick line, but Garnet mentioning how it was done without consent, and it terrified her.

Makes me wonder, like I had initially thought, that eventually the Gem home world bosses will try to force fusion as a way to basically "kill" the Crystal Gems. Like if Jasper does take over the Malachite form, basically Lapis is dead.

There's one worse thing: Those aren't just gems, those are gem shards, as in gems that are practically dead and literally in pieces but still conscious enough to feel pain

btw, while there's some action, S2 is a bit more grounded than S1. It's in part because originally S2 and S3 were going to be 52 episodes each but they both got split (not shortened, just that production-wise, what we know as S2 and S3 is just S2, same for S4 and S5 being S3.

Just watched On The Run.

So... the "bad Gems" came to Earth and... I'm gonna guess, wanted to use the planet to make Gems? They called it a kindergarten. Amethyst came from that. Also, the ones made on Earth are not as powerful. Amethyst said she "didn't care" that she couldn't beat Pearl. She didn't argue the point.

Also, is Garnet more powerful because she has two gems? They all seem to revere Rose as someone of immense power, but... Garnet seems to be pretty legit.

I'll just say you'll get answers to all these questions eventually, some sooner than others. Also, this episode got me feeling really bad for Amethyst

I had come to understand the show was all about normalizing different gender roles. I tried to get into it but the first episode was weird af. I guess from the sounds of things that I should give it another watch. But yeah there was a season finale I read about where apparently Steven either discovered/came out as trans or the situation inspired a lot of trans people since it was analogous to their situation or something.

it's more in that (THIS HAS HUGE SEASON 5 SPOILERS) the diamonds were treating Steven like if he was his mom, with the finale having him and the diamonds finally accept him as his own person. There were a lot of trans allegories though, but tbh, that fits more for Rose Quartz->Pink Diamond than Rose->Steven

I like the complimentary attitudes of the gems.

Pearl is the most mom-like in terms of taking care of Steven, Amethyst is the most chill and understanding of Steven being a kid. Garnet is kinda the most logical of them.

Let's just say you'll learn a lot more of them throughout the season, especially the second half.

Yeah, though I love him for that., but he does develop in the last few seasons though. You may get put off around season 5 or 6, but it picks back up with the final 2 seasons. Also, the finale will make you cry like a baby

Great, though the second half of season 5 and season 6 (aside from the first two episodes, which were great) are pretty weak IMO. The former was way too focused on Finn's relationship issues, while the latter tried way too hard to be philosophical but for the most part they kinda fell flat

Mega Rayquaza was the strongest in-game. Though apparently Zacian in it's sword form is on the same level.

We don't really know about Zacian, as there's no game where she and Mega-quaza coexist. She's still strong as hell tho

The last one I played was Pokemon Rumble Blast, and it was pretty decent (but then again, it also released when there wasn't much else on the 3DS at the time, so I probably wouldn't have bothered otherwise). Never played the Wii U one, and it seemed that after that, they went full in on microtransaction bullshit.
