Wow thanks for the write up, I've never thought about cooking in a macro sense its always just been step by step instruction with little variance.

Ill have to save and reread it a few times to kinda remember the order and Ill give a few things some tries next time I pick some ingredients up.

Thats depression. Denying yourself more varied sustenance isnt really a solution to that problem.

I've been in the best place mentally the past few months that I have been in the past few years. I really enjoy the discipline aspect of it and seeing the discipline get me closer to my goals.

I switch up 2-3 meals a week as I learn how to prepare more meals. I've never cooked for myself so it's been a learning process and i'm sure I'll expand my meals but for now I'm perfectly content with it and it frees up so much time for other things i've neglected.

It's been really positive for me.

Yeah not eating at all is quite a bit different. Hopefully you're finding a way to enjoy it a bit again.

Idk it was the opposite for me, I was really down for a while and would eat food because it was the only thing I enjoyed. Started getting fat...

Also for sure ill grab a small sweet at the gas station once a week or so. But its few and far between at this point.

I'll maybe switch out two of those meals a week but nope I never get bored, I quit thinking of food as entertainment/enjoyment and just use it as fuel. After the first couple weeks you forget about all the junk you use to eat.

I feel better when I stick to it and watching my weight go down and my strength go up is worth it.

I eat the same thing every single day.

Breakfast - 3 egg omelette, 1/5 cup of cheese, 3 pieces of wheat toast (728cal)

Lunch- 4oz Chicken breast, 2 cups of vegetables, sweet potato (386cal)

Dinner - 300g 93% hamburger, 3 cups vegetables (681cal)

Snack - 2 Rice cakes (100cal)

1895 cal/day + almond milk.whey if im working out that day.

1. Eat it all in one sitting and become obese.
2. Throw the leftovers in the freezer and eat it later when it's freezerburned, or more likely throw it away.
3. Throw the leftovers in the fridge and eat the same thing every meal for the next couple of days, or more likely have it spoil and throw it away.

Im pretty a similar 6'1 217 and the way i've been going about it is a long term goal and a short term goal.

Long term, eventually get down to 180pds

Short term, can I lose 6-7 pounds by the end, of July. Repeating that each month.

Then I break it down a little more into weekly observations. Such as last week I could only do 10 reps and now I can do 12 at the same weight or I cut 2 minutes off my run time.

I feel good after every workout, I see and feel progress and there are goals each step of the way that are realistic and build towards a larger goal and before I know it a month has passed and im that 5 pounds closer to the edn.
