I mentioned magick in my post and yeah I'm somewhat into it. I've done some rituals and I read those sort of books from time to time. I believe it's a real thing in some way and I enjoy hearing of the experiences of others. That way of life doesn't feel very compatible with being a dad and having a family and partner to take care of, so I don't do as much as when I lived alone.

My taste generally leans towards the psychedelic, whether that's 60s rock, space rock, psychedelic folk, heavy psych. Also I like improvised music a lot, free jazz, free folk, free improv. There's some pop I like, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen. I listen to a lot of 70s German experimental music. I like 60s Asian pop. Some country. Recently getting into New Age and Black Metal. I also have a soft spot for emo rap. And personally I make something between industrial and noise with a lot of improvisation usually inspired by movies.

So yeah I'm one of those people who listens to anything but genuinely means it

Day to day clothing is just t shirts (favourite are a Boredoms shirt and a Totoro shirt) and black jeans, usually with black lace up leather boots but my old pair broke, on colder days I wear an old black wooly cardigan. Not sure what look that's putting across. I like to have black or purple painted nails if I'm going out for something special and black or purple eyeshadow. I try to stay clean shaven but I forget. I have long messy hair.

I like presenting my art (music and now a comic) in an outsider unhinged and somewhat magickal style with a lot of influence from William S. Burroughs and Japanese pink films.

I was going to watch it but I watched the movie first and thought it sucked. It's the kind of thing I might have liked as a kid but as an adult I couldn't take seriously, there's no real difference between the puppetry used and the traditional muppet designs. I couldn't help finding it unintentionally comedic, even in supposedly sad or dark scenes.

I would recommend reading the book
It's a good one, and it does add context and flesh out some characters... some of it rather strange admittedly.

I think I'd like the movie a lot more if it had included the vagina surgery story from the book

Bruh what, we had some fucking amazing films come out this decade. Get Out, The VVitch, The Lighthouse, The Art of Self Defense, Sorry To Bother You, Parasite, Snowpiercer, Hereditary, BlacKkKlansman, Ex Machina, Arrival, Annihilation, The Shape of Water, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and those are all just off the top of my head/on the more recent side of the decade.

Plenty of good stuff there from the last decade and that's just mainstream cinema.

Just checked my letterboxd account and I've got 102 films from the 2010s rated 4.5 or 5 stars.

Yet there's absolutely loads of non mainstream films being made, both narrative, documentary and more experimental. And plenty of those are great. I don't know as much as I'd like to about films, but I can say quite certainly that you know barely anything.
