Because they aren't saying rebuild, restructure, replace, etc. They're saying abolish. Which means to so away with completely. Which has a heavy connotation of permanence.

This sounds like the same type of people that got rid of Miss Bellum.

We felt like Ms. Bellum wasnt quite indicative of the kind of messaging we wanted to be giving out at this time, so we sort of had her move on. And that was a good choice I think on our part.

Which was unfortunate, since she was probably the most competent person on the show.

Of the students, my favorites are Kirishima and Uraraka. Being voiced by Justin Cook helps a lot.

Of the adults, my favorites are All Might and Endeavor.

That's dumb. At least with the gun, you could do some funny gags. Like the one where they bend the barrel back and he shoots himself in the face and he's covered in soot.

Basically, this is my thought when people try to compare this to the armed conservative protests.

Obviously, if your protests consists of a bunch of well armed demonstrators, the police are going to be a lot more hesitant to employ a violent crackdown.

This actually isn't the cringiest thing I've seen regarding race relations. That might be a white couple taking turns kissing a group of black men's boots.

A little self respect would be nice to see.

With a quick google search, apparently this Edward Colston contributed a lot to the city of Bristol during his time. Sure, he made money on the slave trade but if he really did so much good for his city that probably deserves some memorialization.

I still enjoy playing games, but I can't play as often as I used to. Mostly due to career and kids. So, often times, I'll start playing a game, but have to pause for an extended period of time to wrangle the kids.

There is also the problem of too many options. I literally have a backlog of more than 200 games, so trying to decide what to play is paralyzing.

Between those factors, it's usually easier to just passively browse the internet than sit down to a game.

You know he means that in the military, she would have a strict uniform code to follow and her showing up in defiance of the school dress code is a poor showing in regard to discipline and conformity.

Luckily for her, most US military uniforms feature pants. Though of course, exactly what she would be obliged to wear will be determined by her branch of service, her command, and the particular occasion.

It's amazing to think how many Americans earnestly believe this, even if TC might not actually be one of them.

My impression has been that people in cities and on the coasts often like to think of themselves as more enlightened, intelligent, and civilized than people in the south and midwest. So, it isn't exactly uncommon for them to look down their nose and shit on those dirty, ignorant,, unintelligent, sister-fucking rednecks in their backwoods, hick, fly-over boonies.

And, in a similar fashion, europeans often like to look down their nose at the colonies.

Good, indeed. I work for the Navy and I heard one guy complain that they made him take down his confederate flag he had in his office a few years ago. I just face palmed since why the hell would you fly the rebel flag when you work for the US on a US installation?

This one time, I was really constipated because I'd been drinking a lot of Slim Fast. Apparently Slim Fast dehydrates you pretty badly and I wasn't drinking enough water.

So, eventually I had to get my grandma to give me a saline enema. That helped enough that I did start shitting, but half way through the turd went sideways on me. Got lodged in my ass so bad and hurt so much that I fell off the toilet and hit me head on the wall. I had to call for my grandma to come and help me. I was sure I'd have to go to the hospital. What ended up happening was she had to use a finger to break it up for me.

This is honestly a first for me to see LGBTQ having this much internal conflict.

I don't really know much myself, but I've heard there's actually been underlying tension between the LGB and the T parts of LGBT for a long while. Especially between lesbians and the transwomen who want to fuck them.

Mostly from posts I've seen online from lesbians annoyed over transwomen they know who won't stop trying to sleep with them and transwomen upset that lesbians won't sleep with them. I don't see as much about transmen and gay men, but transmen in general don't seem to get as much airtime as transwomen.

So, that's actually a thing I've seen a fair bit of. Though it is a mixture of guilting and shaming. If you look around, you can see hilarious posts by angry transwomen who are upset that lesbians won't have sex with them, accuse them of being transphobic because they aren't interested in a feminine penis, etc. They sound awfully similar to the kind of rhetoric you might find in incel circles. Some Jessica Yaniv-like shit.

Granted, confirmation bias. Different corners of the internet can make an issue seem more common than it actually is.

Fuck it. Let a nice, progressive city defund and abolish their police force as a grand social experiment.

Also generational wealth usually makes the next generation into shitty, selfish, spoiled assholes because they never had to work for anything. My dad was always there if I was in an absolute bind that wasnt my fault due to sheer bad luck BUT I had to get my own job at 16, pay all my own bills and climb through the ranks of life on my own.

This just reads like sour grapes over families who have passed down some material worth.

I live in Canada. It's not the same as the states. You either live in a ridiculously expensive urban area (there's 3 of them) or you live in the middle of fucking nowhere.

My city has 10% of the population of Canada in it. My province has 50% of the population.

Your current location isn't so essential to your life that you couldn't move. I was just looking at houses for sale in texas and you find a brick house with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathroom 2600+ soft, backyard with a pool, 3 car garage, etc for $345,000 in Katy, Tx. Katy, Tx being roughly 30 miles from Houston.

That is hardly the middle of nowhere and you'll get a much better quality of living than a one bedroom condo for $550,000.
