That's not to say you can't succeed with them, it just involves more planning to leverage their bonus better. If you're new, I suggest reading Zigzagzigal 's guide to all the civs (if you haven't already). They give you pointers on how to best utilize a civ's bonuses. Typically on V I have to focus on balancing relations as by the time ideologies roll around, I will either be great friends with other civs or dire enemies. Slow mid/lategame is less of a problem on higher difficulties since it takes longer to overtake the AIs in science/culture. If you wanna really spice things up I suggest installing the Vox Populi modpack. I've yet to have a boring game with it installed --- It's not genocide... it's pesticide... |
