First, no one could ever make such a claim because the amount of virus reaching you is going to depend on several factors including mask type, distance, the severity of infection in the person transmitting, air currents, etc. The amount of virus reaching you could absolutely be stopped by a mask.

CE is so full of shit. My cousin had a kidney transplant about three years ago. She's required to wear a mask whenever she's out in public. Why? Because it's for HER PROTECTION. Masks do protect you from the virus. Is it 100% protection? No. A mask isn't a hazmat suit. But most rational people understand that we can't let perfect be the enemy of good.

Jokes aside, this is Disney's own fault. You can see weights attacked to the bottom of the balloon. Those are designed to keep the balloons from flying off because (1) kids let go of them all the time and (2) they're an environmental hazard. The weight attacked wasn't heavy enough to do it's job. That's Disney's fault. Either the weight is too light (so Disney can save money on plastic) or the staff screwed up and didn't hook multiple weights to it like they were trained. Either way, this is on Disney.

Wayfair isn't the only one to do this. Walmart does it as well, usually for new items that haven't come in yet. They'll use absurdly high prices as place holder values until they actually get the product. It's a process Toy Hunters are well familiar with.
