Lonely isn't really that much worse IMO, its not like Dodrio will be taking a hit, so the Defense drop isn't really a big deal.

It's already been $300 with a free game for awhile (off and on, so might not be that price at this moment) so I could definitely see it settling down at $250.

It's still been 500$ here in Canada, plus taxes etc.. that would place it a little less than 400$ US, and I can't justify that here when my One S still runs great. Heck that's about how much the One S costs up here.

Maybe it can help them cut the CDN price by at least 100$ or so then

The One X dropping to 250 would mean I'll just buy a One X and hold out until the prices drop more.

There are some obvious issues with UBI, especially with a country the size of the US (1000$ a month in California doesn't go nearly as far as 1000$ in rural Iowa, and there are absolutely people who will complain about it, but giving different amounts to different regions would be just begging for abuse).

I think its an important idea and something that would be super useful in the future, but there are likely still a few kinks to work out before its good to go (if it will ever)

Did the return to Arkham remasters update the combat at all? I've only played the PS3 version when it first came out and thought it was a lot more... rigid in comparison to the later games. It definitely felt like the original version in comparison to how much more flow there was in City/Origins/Knight

I mentioned it above but the context is different because there aren't many non-comedic representations of South Asian people on American TV and Apu became one of the most well-known ones. but even within the show itself, you have multiple varied representations of "white" characters (I know they're literally yellow) and even varied representation of black characters (Carl, Dr. Hibbert) but only one major Indian character who is a complete stereotype.

Although its important to note that back in the early 90s Apu just being a fully fledged character was a bigger deal, and helped set up a place for other south Asian actors that weren't one-note stereotypes. That said, The Simpsons wasn't likely expecting to be on for 30 years, and what was considered a progressive character back in the 90s is taboo by todays standards (which is completely fair tbh) so it makes sense that Apu bow out of the show.

Kirby and Superman would inevitably go blow-for-blow up until the bad guy that week (maybe a team up of Lex Luger and King Dedede) appear, our heroes have learned they were had, and team up to fight off the bad guys, and have a nice bonding experience to put away their troubles.

This is basically what happens every time we have 2 heroes fight it out.

This will be exciting in 14 years when Kingdom Hearts 4 comes out.

This isn't true. We found a couple nests, and they're nasty buggers that we definitely don't want around here, but really its not like their a world-ending insect. The name "Murder hornet" is really blowing things out of proportion - in fact scientists and such have been dealing with their arrival for months before the panic and nobody minded, because they weren't being called "Murder Hornets"

Man I love that stuff. It's classic Detective fiction. It's like getting the answers after Trivia Night. Perfect time for the characters to ham it up too.

Especially with how the characters were kind of leaning into it. Like when the one cop stopped the other from stepping in because Daniel Craig explaining everything was so fun.

They've got deals with stuff like Mountain Dew and Doritos, that's kind go the crowd they're going for.

They are honestly for the most part. They're a retail business, like any other retail business they up sell. You want to avoid that you can shop online, through Gamestop or otherwise. And the selling used as new because it's open is also stupid if the game or case isn't damaged, it's literally the exact same product you would get minus the saran wrap.

And also the complaints about used trade in prices are also stupid. I like to think of it like lawyers, the only way to guarantee good guys get one is to also give one to the bad guys. So the only way bad games are worth credit is to decrease the "value" of good games. Some games are legit valuable and worth the effort to sell online, most aren't. I mean sure they absolutely will offer you 30 bucks and try to sell for 55 for a new game, but they'll also take a yearly release (sports, call of duty, assassins creed, etc.) or a PS plus title for a few bucks and know it'll sit on the shelf for years. Them getting flack for trying to make up the difference is stupid, it's basic economics. Like you tell me where I can sell my copy of battlefront 2 for more then 5 bucks right now?

Taking advantage of trade in deals, I can usually get 70 percent or more in trade credit for what they're selling for used versus dealing with people through Craigslist who always want me to drop the price. Or we agree to meet and sell for 20 and they show up with 15 or whatever, and that's after a few days of waiting for a response. If it isn't valuable, it's hard to move is what I'm saying.

I get the point you're making and I kind of agree. I don't like trading in games anymore since I just have wanted to play games since I got rid of them, but I get why they do it. That said, when they offer you 60 cents for a game that you'll see on the shelves for 29.99 is almost offensive.

Also, at least on eBay Canada, Battlefront II seems to be going for at least 15-20. I agree with the point, but it was maybe a bad example.

Good luck getting anyone in America to attend the matches if we don't qualify. I dont know how much Canada cares about soccer compared to America, but I know they sure as shit dont care as much as Mexico since they care more then both of us combined.

We don't care all that much either. Its always gotten a little more exciting, since its the World Cup and all, but its never the biggest thing around, or even as big as when a Toronto team makes the playoffs. I've met a handful of people who beyond ecstatic that the World Cup is on tho.

That said, everyone loves getting to see live sports, especially if its important, so I'm sure a lot of people would turn up just to be in the crowd for a big game.

I never intentionally destroyed it, young me just never bothered to put a lot of games back in the case after I was done so I have a lot of discs that are scratched beyond use.

Walmarts in Canada aren't actually all that trashy (at least, based on what I've heard about American Walmarts)

Granted, I also live in a fairly nice area, but all 4 of the Walmarts in town are far from trashy.

But that's not going to happen.

The prices are so gigantic because it isn't single payer healthcare. The insurance companies that cover medical bills don't pay nearly the same amount as an individual does, since they're effectively paying "in bulk" and a single-payer option would do the same thing.

I like to think that if there is a god, we're like his pet fish. He put enough effort into making everything so that we can live pretty well being along 23 hours and 55 minutes of every day, he just needs to add some food and clean the bowl from time to time so we don't die.

I mean, if the mother****er created the concept of existence itself do you think he doesn't have better things to do?

This. Although I haven't watched The Irishman because its like 5 hours long and any time I feel like watching a movie I'm not interested in sitting through something that massive.

Rose's monologue was a little awkward (and a bit heavy handed on the "this was the whole point of the damn casino planet subplot you nerds" but it still seemed to be lost on people.

From my point of view has literally become a meme for how trash it was. This should be open-and-shut IMO.

In my opinion Rise of Skywalker is nowhere near as bad as The Last Jedi

I have legit the opposite opinion. TLJ was leagues better than Rise of Skywalker, but the only real issue I had with the final scene is that it was built up like Leia had more of a relationship with all of our main characters, so really story-wise Rey should've taken the name Organa instead of Skywalker IMO

Shorter sized guitars are usually used for kids, but that's really just because they're smaller and cheaper. There's no real reason not to use a 3/4 size guitar (that's what I started on too), but it does have a bit of a different sound that a standard one - its a bit more "punchy" if that makes sense? It can also help if you want to make big stretches or are just new to the weird hand flexes.

If you want a 3/4 guitar you'll probably be fine, although if you want to like play along with a song you'll sound a little off (but you probably would anyway unless it was like, an acoustic recording or something).

EDIT: if you're just worried about having "small hands" you almost definitely don't need to worry about it.

There's an inherent problem with an argument that has no definitive proof for or against, so most people trying to participate in it is usually just trying to feel better than you.

Electrics are easier to play imo

Much easier to play, the strings are much thinner so you can get better sound from holding the frets down (esp. as a beginner).

and IMO a cheap elec guitar and amp can go farther than a cheap acoustic.
