I used to hit the gym almost daily in 2012, slowed down but kept a decent pattern during 13-15, then ended up in a mental funk that caused me to stop exercising among other things. Despite all that, my physical health is not the worst part about me and I have so much to fix about myself. Now of course, this is ridiculous even for "back in the day" scenarios due to what we know in the present world, but the story starts off by pointing out that Arthur is in the less violent, more suicidal wards and most notably for me, also points out that the worker wants Arthur to write him letters, which of course isn't the standard method of communications anymore. If the story is meant to be in present day, it would be more likely that the worker gives Arthur his phone number who would then go on to dox him to find out where he lives. First of all, I apologize for the wording of my comment, got a little heated from the PTSD the subject of the topic gave me. It is not a manipulation tactic, and I definitely don't want to sound like a preacher to anyone. I now wish that I am able to go back and delete my post, but it's there and has already been quoted multiple times so i'll deal with it. Personally for me, i'm guilty of creating drama many, many times in my life ranging from petty nonsense to life altering hate. Obviously at the time when these events happen, it was easy to tell myself "screw em, im better off, whatever" but time moves on and time moves fast. I think of how old this planet is, how long humans typically live, and I ask myself if it really was worth it to hold grudges and permanently destroy relationships with family and friends alike.
