trying to assign gimmicks and gimmick attributes is just like....they all play really generic bland faces and/or heels so they wind up super generic if their ring work doesn't blow me away and I don't know any backstage stuff about 'em

I think I'm already rating real wrestlers kinda low and generically to start with just because I'm kinda grading them on a curve, but WWE is kinda boring so far even in mod form.

If you really wanted to help Americans, of all races, you would be out there fighting for taxing the rich more, lowering taxes on the poorer, ending stupid loop holes in taxes, raising estate taxes so economic disparity doesn't cycle generation to generation, and focus on providing career opportunities to the poor who even if they have the marks have to choose between going to school or not because they can't afford it versus the rich who can afford anywhere.

Sally is still hyping up Antoine and Bunnie for her #1 Contender match. She's gonna put the Freedom Fighters back on the STH map! (36) Turns out she's facing Eddv. Her speed matches up rather awkwardly with Eddv's brawling, but she manages to overcome the newcomer. (46) Sticks shows up to interview Sally post-match. Sally knows Nack well, and she's not gonna let him run roughshod over this place, backup or no! She's got her own backup, and she's gonna expose Nack as the flash in the pan he is! (52)

Neither Geno nor Etemon have been setting the world on fire since their debuts, but one of them will get a win here! Turns out that's Geno. (50) Manny tries to needle Metal Sonic for the cowardly attack on Tails last week. Metal Sonic is an evil robot and does not particularly care. (48) Sonic and Tails avenge themselves with a win over Scratch and Grounder, despite Tails looking a bit delicate. (49)

Vector, Espio, and Mighty are all quibbling backstage. Knuckles has gone off the grid after last week, and they're starting to give up on him coming back. Vector is trying to pull the Chaotix back together, but Mighty and Espio are at each others' throats. Espio walks out! (48) Ocelot is given a chance to explain his attack on Omega, but he just says a bunch of cryptic nothing about Metal Gear. (62)

Amy teams up with Big for a main event against Eggman and Metal Sonic. Big is a bit out of his depth, and the Eggman Empire roll out their usual arsenal of chicanery to seal a win. In particular, Amy takes a really gross chair shot from Eggman on the outside during the finish. (47, Amy sustains a broken collar bone) Rouge appears on the screen, and whatever was initially planned for this segment, it appears Amy's hurt bad enough to change course. The (injured) champ taunts the (injured) challenger, and Amy just sells. (60)

You're also showing any of their young fans that their behavior is not acceptable. And if you let things slide, you run the risk of normalizing the behavior and sending the opposite message.

I will grant you that nobody is perfect and we should probably draw a line somewhere before we crucify every person and organization in existence (which I think is what you're trying to articulate?)

This specific instance (based entirely on thirdhand info from this topic, because I don't know these people and haven't looked into the case) seems pretty reasonable to burn the dude over, though. Girl said no, guy did the thing anyway, and at a time she was unable to resist. Right?

In almost any other subject learning, mistakes are celebrated as marks on the road to improvement.

I think that maybe has to do with it being more of a moral thing than an academic thing? There are usually going to be more consequences if you screw up the former than the latter. I'll need some time to digest that way of looking at things but my kneejerk is to substitute other violent crimes in there, and "I murdered somebody on the road to learning not to murder people" is kinda hard to sell as a positive. Or even going to the opposite extreme, "I used to steal candy bars" is still kinda "ehhhh" compared to "I used to mess up subject-verb agreement"

That's a popular legend/creepypasta/conspiracy theory lately I guess! It's interesting enough as it is, but it got me kinda thinking that it would be a kinda fun idea. The original concept has an AI that tweaked the game to adjust to the player, reportedly for dark psychological purposes. Wasn't there a system or game that was actually pitched as doing that, back in the day?

But anyway I think that's actually a cool kinda idea for a game. I guess procedural generation is already a thing, but I'm thinking something more subtle, like an extra enemy here, or a different item there, or a few subtle changes to color palette. I imagine it would be difficult to do that on a per-copy basis, but maybe per save file. Undertale does a few small things like that, right? And there was a recent board game that I think had a different distribution of terrain tiles or something every copy. Any other examples, or ideas?

Also it's fascinating to me that there's still a community for Mario 64, finding new tech and coming up with new urban legends and stuff.
