I don't understand the question? She belongs in Xenoblade 2 as much as any other rare blade does. She has a Heart-to-Heart with her driver and other characters. KOS-MOS interacts with T-elos if she's in the party when completing the latter's Blade Quest. (As an aside, KOS-MOS in Xenoblade 2 has no connection to KOS-MOS in Xenosaga outside the name, the Japanese voice, and some design elements. She has no memories of events in those games, a different weapon, and wears different armor. In short: she's a different person. Her interactions with T-elos are amusing, but she's in the game purely because she has some small amount of notoriety in our world, and because Monolith worked on both and could presumedly swing the deal with Bandai Namco, not because the stories are connected, or because the game universes are one and the same, as they aren't.)

Xenosaga was supposed to be six games, but Xenogears didn't factor into that release plan. Rather, the first game saw multiple delays, went well over budget, and then underperformed at retail. Namco got nervous, panicked, and forced Takahashi to step down from the project. They also ordered that the number of games be cut from six to three.

Also Ulti, I can't quite find the quote I was looking for on Xenoblade, but I can tell you that Nintendo chose the name, not Takahashi. The working title was Monado: Beginning of the World'.

TLDR: Not in the same series, not unless you think Mighty No. 9 is in the same series as Mega Man. At most, it is a spiritual successor. He made a similar sort of statement about Xenoblade in relation to Xenosaga during the pree run ahead of that game's release, and I am looking for the quote to prove it. Will post here when I find it.

Not to be confused with Xenoblade Chronicles X, which is the ''actual'' "Xenoblade Chronicles 2". The Xenoblade Chronicles 2 pictured in this match is, technically, "Xenoblade Chronicles 3". You can thank Japan and their nonsensical methodology with how they name and order video games. I don't get it either.

Xenoblade 2 is set in the same story universe as the first game, and is a sort-of sequel to that game. They are also both linear, narrative and character focused JRPGs. X has nothing to do story wise with the other two games, and is an open-world game. The only connections it has with them is a similar battle system, and some easter eggs. So separating them makes sense.

Legally, they aren't the same series. Square Enix owns the trademark and associated copyrights to 'Xenogears'. Bandai Namco owns 'Xenosaga' lock, stock, and barrel. 'Xenoblade' is all that Nintendo owns, and the others would take exception to Monolith and Nintendo getting too close to, or building off of, their property in these new games, hence the lack of connections (KOS-MOS and T-elos in 2 are cameos, licensed from the owner.)

A fair point. His game has higher ownership and completion on the site than I expected, and I guess the people hardcore enough to fill all that crap out, would be more likely to turn out and vote for him.

I have yet to hear a single good opinion about Black Flag.

Those four sites are mega huge. They can, and do, house hundreds - or thousands - of communities a piece. Without knowing where specifically you spend your time, I can't say if those groups' opinions are representative of the game playing world writ large. That said, in the circles I travel in, Black Flag is held up as one of the best, if not the best, in the series.

Agree with half_silver. Juliet isn't a relevant enough character to stay above Low Fodder, and while Yuri Hyuga's close, he shouldn't be worse than Haseo.

I was going to dispute this and say something like ".hack is a much more popular series than Shadow Hearts, especially so during the mid-2000s peak, and the remastered trilogy for PS4 and Windows should have refreshed game players a bit.", but to my surprise, SH has much higher ownership and completion numbers on this site, and the PS4/PC rerelease didn't really register at all. Despite series popularity, maybe Yuri really would beat Haseo on GameFAQs...

Juliet Starling (Lollipop Chainsaw) - Low fodder - TJF should keep her from falling to the bottom. Also, this game feels like it was Suda51's most popular game back around the time it came out, but nobody really talks about it anymore.

Yuri Hyuga (Shadow Hearts) - LAW fodder, we've already seen what he's capable of, and it's nothing at all (unless you think Lara and Slime are secretly very tough.) Moreover, he has no reason to have boosted any these past seven years and, with the series dead, some reason to degrade further.

2) Points are determined by how many games you nominate. If you nominate 10 games, your top choice gets 10 points. If you nominate 5 games, your top choice only gets 5 points. If you only nominate one game, it gets one point. Plain and simple.

Did you mean what you typed? I would think that you would have 10 points to distribute between the chosen games. So, one game would get all ten points, two games would each get five points, five games would get two each, and ten games would each get one point.

If there really is a surprise bonus match that's not Smash/Skyrim, the first thing that came to mind was literally Link vs. COVID-19.

What I thought might be fun is to have Link fight Corona (the hero/player character of the Sega Genesis Zelda clone Crusader of Centy.) It's a good game, but it probably wouldn't ever get its star in a real Character Battle. Under these circumstances though, Corona could do some real damage to Link.

Vector the Crocodile (Sonic series) - Low fodder - Another of Sonic's little furry (scalie?) friends. He's never been in a game that's worth a damn (a 32x spinoff, of all things, and appearances in Heroes, Shadow, and Forces), and even Sonic's upper echelon - Tales, Knuckles, and Shadow - aren't particularly strong. I don't believe he's worth anything.

Ashley (WarioWare series) - High fodder - Who's the girl next door living in the haunted mansion? Ashley! She has a prominent role in the Warioware series, and is probably the third most popular character (after Wario and Mona), despite not debuting until the third game. Of course, Warioware isn't nearly as popular as it used to be (the last game was 3DS exclusive during the dying days of that system.) She had a big fan push for inclusion as a playable character in Smash (not as big as Ridley, K. Rool, or even Isaac, but a 200 page thread on Smashboards isn't nothing), and managed to get an assist trophy and costume in both Smash 4 and Ultimate, a regular trophy in 4, and a spirit in Ultimate also. I think high fodder seems a reasonable place to put her.

Sulley (Monsters, Inc.) - Low Fodder - His isn't really one of those Pixar movies people bring up as a favorite, and I'm not sure if a character from a 2000s era kids movie is going to click with this site's users.

Dr. E. Gadd (Luigis Mansion) - Fodder line. He's been more visible lately, with Luigi's Mansion 3 reviewing well, being received warmly by fans, and setting sales records for the series. He's had other spinoff appearances as well, including the Mario & Luigi games and Mario Party series. Even a name drop in a mainline Mario game (granted that game is Sunshine...) He's a well established Mario character, he can't be total garbage. Remember how Rosalina put up 44% on Geralt when everyone expected her to bomb (though I would rate her a few tiers above Gadd.)
Cyclops (X-Men) - High fodder - He's not Wolverine, but he was the team leader in the popular 90's cartoon, so GameFAQs should know who he is. He also has the Marvel vs Capcom appearances to his name.
Ico (Ico) - Low fodder - Protag of a one-off, early oughts Sony game that isn't an RPG, and couldn't crack a million copies. I think this the the right ranking for 'em.

Loved both the first two tracks, but I think I'd give it to A Line In The Sand.
Rainbow Road is a nostalgic favorite, that smooth bass and sweet melody. The instruments on that pre-Windows Touhou track are harsh.
EXSPHERE is so raw and wild. I went on a hell of a ride with that one, and I don't regret it.

I still thought that performance was ass, though. I can't believe the latest generic entry in the most generic of JRPG series - which virtually nobody outside Japan has ever cared about, even on this site, which prizes JRPGs above all other games - nearly broke 30 on the best Zelda game - maybe the best game, period - of the current millennium, if not ever. I feel tired.

Yes. You are correct. A lot more. In fact there are some episodes that consist of dozens of terrible games on random consoles. I've left out those games that just get 'mentioned' in compilation episodes and mostly focused on games that were deserving to have an episode of their own.

I'm guessing you aren't going to include Super Mario Bros. 3 and Majora's Mask (which have had proper episodes to themselves, but would be a little unfair to the entire rest of the games competing.)
