Couldn't fit full title, but should read:
"If someone is found innocent in a criminal case, but settles or is found guilty in a civil case, what are they in your mind?"

Very curious about this, because many people interpret the person's guilt or innocence based on what happens in court, but there are plenty of times where you get contradicting verdicts.

The reason I ask is because you'll often find other people/mob-think will attack anyone who disagrees with the perceived innocence/guilt of the verdict when it is straight forward (only 1 court, or 2 courts that both match). But when the 2 courts don't match, it shows that the courts in general aren't a be-all-end-all answer.

The logical answer to me would be: "Just read about the details yourself and make up your own mind", and I'd like to think most people would feel the same, but it doesn't play that way in theory.

So back to the topic title, without factoring in a specific case, how do you generally interpret this?

Crazy that two random witnesses would both say they saw you driving with her. It's scary sometimes how all it takes is someone else's word to potentially ruin a life.

Curious what the relevance was of them finding alcohol in her blood, but not in yours. Seems like that would make her way more unreliable to the courts.

If you protest the tyranny, someone in power shows up and tear-gasses your voice so you have no platform to talk about the wrongdoings.

That's not making light of the situation, but it shows how it's been happening everywhere for years, and only getting worse by crossing into real life finally.

I don't think less of the murderer for doing what he did, but he has to be willing to accept the consequences for his actions. You can't go picking and choosing who is allowed to get away with crimes because it suits your moral narrative; that kind of irresponsible handling of the justice system would send any country back to the dark ages.

If you want to murder someone for doing something that you think the legal system handled poorly, that is your choice. But just realize that you will be trading your life for theirs, and it's up to you to determine if that is worth it.

If the title wasn't specific enough, what specific year feels like the cut-off in your brain for when you think of measuring recent time and an older era. For example, you might think 2009 doesn't feel like that long ago, but for some reason personal to you, 2008 feels like forever ago.

Undertale is still the raining champ for best game of all time. Undertale however is not the best game of the decade, and nobody is debating that.

Yes.

I work for a major company, and they've recently put out a multi-million dollar ad campaign. And instead of the CEO spending that same money on a trip to the Bahamas, they used to to call me a hero. That means a lot to me, and I'll take that over anything.
