The dad was careless but this teen may have several mental issues that need to be addressed.

When you start eating healthier and cleaner, your body is easily able to tell that fast food is shit after mere minutes.

I went on a healthy low-carb diet with lots of veggies for months. I had Taco Bell one time because it was late and I was hungry, and within minutes I was on the toilet.

To this day, I will never set foot in a Taco Bell ever again.

Of course if your body is used to a certain type of food and you put anything foreign in it its going to react that way. If you would have taken the time to have more than once your body would have gotten used to it and youd be able to handle it fine.

They are still potential carriers. They will bring it home and infect their vulnerable family members.

You also realize that there are tons of adult staff at schools, right? What do you think happens when half of the teachers contract coronavirus and can't come in to work? You're not going to have substitutes willing to risk that for $10/hr.

I mean, for my job I have to work with the public every day. Mostly adults. I would much rather work with kids who are less susceptible than adults who arent. Ill take that substitute teacher spot.

I saw a news article on it awhile back. Kids are very resistant to it.

Wearing masks is very effective. Most people at protests wore them and you saw how low the numbers were. Combine that with the fact that scientists have confirmed kids are super resistant to the virus and its going to be fine.

First off, I % support the protests against police brutality and for Black Lives Matter. In fact, I think it's long overdue. So I certainly find this a cause worth protesting and worth the risk.

That said, I have seen people saying that the protests did not cause a spike in the rona. I can't understand this logic. I have heard some say it's because protestors are wearing masks and social distancing. While some maybe, from the news reports it doesn't seem like everyone is.

I honestly think this has cause a rise in cases, but news reporters either are frightened or straight up don't want to link the protests and the rise in cases. It's unfortunate because it creates a political bias in the news, which I think there should not be. The news should be the news: facts without bias. I'm coming to realize more and more that just isn't the case. The news we receive today is heavy influenced by political and media bias.

To me it tastes more like Dr Pepper than cream soda. Like a more smooth version of Dr Pepper Id say.

Yeah. Like everyone else, my initial intuition was that all of these protests, BLM included, were gonna be bad news.

I suppose one possibility is that the impact of these discrete gatherings simply pales in comparison to the repeated daily exposures of people not following distancing rules and reasonable quarantine procedures.

It is about privilege -- they're allowed to do shit while others are legally forbidden from gathering (and have been forbidden for months). That's real privilege. heres the thing: nearly everyone was concerned that protests would increase the spread of covid. Myself included. But people collectively decided that black lives were something worth protesting for despite that. The majority of people wore masks

so heres how science works though: you create a hypothesis, in this case protests will be superspreading events, and you do studies and collect data to test that hypothesis

and what has been concluded, based on these studies, is that that hypothesis was incorrect, and that protests DID NOT significantly contribute to spreading covid

so whats going on here, is you dont believe a conspiracy theory, you just havent caught up with the newly presented data that shows that what you believe is incorrect, despite it being what conventional logic would suggest and indeed did appear to be the case, prior to actually collecting and analyzing the data
