Why would I believe that Trump would do a better job and maintaining law and order and curtailing the unrest in cities when he's done a shitty job of it so far? A lot of the Thin Blue Line people on my Facebook feed recognize the president is doing a shitty job containing this and some even think the protesting and rioting is more justified than it was in 2016 or 2014. The pandemic has completely upended people's lives. The economy has completely gone to shit for working people while Wall Street and the stock market have recovered almost instantaneously. I don't know if the things cops are on video doing now are more egregious than they were in the past, but the cop stuff coupled with all the suffering the pandemic is a tinderbox that Trump is just throwing fire on every time he opens his mouth. --- |
