THey got it, and all were healthy from it. Healthy immune system is the way to fight it, not staying inside constantly and disinfecting everything where you body is not exposed to germs and viruses. The second wave will be more deadly because the government conditioned everyone to stay inside and stay "safe", instead of healthy. Like I'm sad, but the reality is I'm not really as sad as I think I should be.

She was nice to me, but I never really saw her that often and never had much to do with that side of the family. She was also going through a long painful illness these last several years.

It's just a weird feeling. I feel bad that I don't feel as sad as I think I should.

As for how you feel, it could be a number of things. Not everybody processes grief the same way. I have seen people feel that way (weird, not *that* sad) and then as time passed (weeks, maybe even months) the sadness just grew and grew, which is the opposite of what you'd expect. The body has a way of protecting itself from overwhelming sadness by blocking/putting it off like that. Or maybe you won't feel that way because you weren't that close to begin with, which is also ok.

Just be there for your dad and help him heal. Be well my dude.

But by the time they reach college age they should be able to choose between college and trade school, and college should take less time (and money!).

I'd not be surprised if 60% of the school subjects are useless when it comes to the jobs people take thanks to their college degree. Why does a trademark lawyer have to take criminal law and tax law? Why does a proctologist need to take subjects related to the eyes and lungs?

Russia is dangerous for different reasons.

I teach middle school and yes I have kids that would love to stay home and it would make my job so much easier if did stay home. But do I want them to stay home? Nope. I cant give up on them.

Kids just need better schools, smaller classes, diverse curriculums, etc. Then fewer of them would want to get away from schooling in the first place.

many 4 year bachelor's could be taught in 2 years. Many courses are totally unrelated and filler, under the excuse of wElL rOuNdEd.

Many associates' degrees could be 1 year.

education wasn't mean to be a business. But now it is.

It is supposed to help you get a job, but instead of that it became a barrier to getting a job.

Why the fuck do you need to study 4 years of your life, with filler subjects such as history of ____, philosophy of ______ and _____ literature if you're going to push excel spreadsheets and some corporate bullshit for a living?

Or take computer science. Why study all those tortuous maths and do all of those stupid math problems if you're going to be doing java loops for automating some thing for the rest of your life?

Also, defense spending is over-inflated. It's basically good old boys buying from good old boys, at prices set to take care of fellow good old boys, using outdated, archaic, arcane purchasing vehicles. If they sold pencils they'd probably cost 10$ per pencil.

Adding to that, their purchases are not strategic, they're made to benefit contractors. It's like MOOAARR TAANKKSSSS!! MOOAARRRR ROCKETS!!! GO BOOM!. Need more stategic missiles? Need more drones? Need cyber warefare? SHUT UP AND TAKE THESE 100000 TANKS!
