I never played 2016 (or any other Doom before this) but I think it's pretty easily my favorite FPS. Was super psyched up for Halo on PC, but it's going to feel so slow after this.

Incredibly fast paced combat with a fun focus on resource management. Killing enemies in different ways will give you ammo, life, or armor which keeps the encounters feeling fresh as you try to stay maxed out.
Has a lot of unlockable lore and a little bit of story, but you can skip most of that if you just want to shoot things.

Can't get enough of it, love the cheat system and how easy they made it to hunt down items with the map and fast traveling.

Any fun cheat/rune combos you've come across?
My main setup for the playthrough was the Long Distance GK + Quick GK + Speed Boost after GK which worked pretty great for large battles as you just keep building up speed and flying everywhere.

Instant Stagger Cheat + Silver Bullet Cheat + Full Auto Shotgun turns the game into Doom: John Wick which made for a few fun levels while hunting down unlockables.

Haven't tried the multiplayer too much yet.

First time through Zero I was an impatient little shit that didn't bother reading any of the text in game so I never realized the cyber-elves could give you decent power-ups. I always wondered why the game seemed so much harder than other MM games until I realized I'm an idiot.

Loving the game aside from one thing that just happened. Middle of the final boss fight, have it down to ~10% hp, and the game crashes.
First crash I encountered though, guess I'll finish it up tomorrow.
Favorite rune combo so far is distant + quick glory kills. Zooming around like some murderous Flash.

Every other fps is going to feel so slow after this and I'm not sure if I'd be able to play this with a gamepad.

Picked up the collector's edition, the statue and steel-case are great but the artbook might be about the worst I've seen.
You get a kind of interesting character relation chart and then a short book full of screenshots and character renders. Not even like interesting behind the scenes renders, just what they look like in game.
