The thing is, the fans that actually pay attention to news sources to even know about "gaming controversy" are a small fraction of the market.

Most of the market are general consumers who didn't even know a controversy existed, saw advertising for the game, and bought it because of that.

For reference, even Battlefront 2, which caused such a fuss to reached mainstream news and many countries looked into labeling loot boxes as gambling, sold over 9 million copies, and was a huge financial success. Given, it was a big failure to EA, which wanted it to be a endless pay to win, loot box money printing machine for years to come, and worse, actually got the people looking into loot boxes as a problem.

This isn't true, they do have laptops, phones, and the internet as a result, and are carrying around power banks. A lot of origination is done through social media.

Pay aside, people who are really good people are few and far in between. Lots of people like to talk about what's right, very few are willing to put themselves, and by extension their family, at risk to "do the right thing". How would you screen for that anyway when hiring?

Cops who just want to have an uneventful week at work, don't want to stand out or stir anything up, get paid, and go home > good cops who actually want to help people > asses on a power trip.

However, as a good cop, you cannot stand against the bad cops, or you're basically screwing yourself over because now all the other cops think you're a traitor. You'll become an outcast who'll be ousted as soon as you make 1 mistake.

The problem is the entire system will screw you over if you don't stand together even with the bad cops.

I'm not inclined to believe that all cops are actually Saturday morning cartoon villains.

But corruption at the top (which is a problem in most places) isn't even the problem people are upset about, it's the protection of officers who have clearly wronged. This isn't a "protecting the elites thing".

Cops, and the law system in general, work together on a regular basis, and as a result watch each other's backs. They can't turn one each other because that's just make life harder for all of them.

Good cops can't report or turn on bad cops, because than every other cop will turn on them. It's stand by each other no matter what or get out system. If you don't go with the group you'll be an outcast, and next time you're in trouble suddenly nobody's got your back and you're screwed.

I'm not referring to specifically malicious intent, people aren't perfect and make mistakes, no cop wants to be the guy who ratted out another cop, then when they needed help no one gave a crap because you're the traitor.

To be clear, I'm not saying everything the way it's done is fine now, but this isn't a black and white, good and evil scenario. This is a problem with the entire structural system of law and law enforcement that I'm not sure there is an easy solution to. You're asking people to willingly make their own lives more difficult, and make enemies of people you have to work with regularly, because it's "morally correct".

The thing is, people disagreeing with, not liking, looking down on, and insulting people of different generations, regardless of age, is pretty par far the course. It's not specifically old people to young people, or vice versa, many people just always think their way of thinking is right and other people are wrong. I've seen people arguing that the protesters and the looters/rioters are completely separate than the peaceful protests, people arguing that the looting and rioting are reasonable backlash for the mistreatment of certain groups or because peaceful protests don't work, people defending the looting and rioters by saying the damage they caused can be paid back by insurance, people saying the rioters were peaceful protesters that were coerced into violence by outside groups, etc.

The reality is there are probably more than a few groups with overlap.

However, I'm asking when you think of the looters, rioters, and protesters, how you generally categorize them in your mind.

I don't get why people find the idea that 2 people who were dating when they were like 17, and one became 18, and they didn't have to hide their relationship or it would be legally rape, revolting.

People act like teens dating doesn't actually happen or something. Pretending all teens are celibate because it makes you more comfortable doesn't mean that's what reality is like.

That said, the Transformers movies are bad because nothing makes sense, not because of random relationship issues thrown in for the lols (most of the Transformer movies do this). They are one of the pinnacles of the movie type that's all action, no substance. Given, it's not a crime for people to want to watch a mindless action movie for entertainment.
