They've fixed a lot of the issues and it has controller support now. It's still getting updates

Pretty much running perpendicular to the posts above, the story and characters are terrible and I dislike the concept of seasonal events, so I'm incapable of giving a fuck about the gameplay.

I've basically gone from being hugely up on the franchise because of Borderlands 2/the Pre-Sequel/Tales from the Borderlands, to being almost completely apathetic about it now.

Agree with this completely. I'll still go back and have fun with 2 and PS, but 3 bored me to the point of not finishing it. At least I felt compelled to beat the first one

What I don't understand is why were the dues ex machina ghosts helping Sephiroth at the end? Last I checked he didn't kill the party before they left Midgar in the OG game.

With how senseless the rest of the last chapter was I don't think there's an answer to that.

The majority of the game was rad though. Most of the narrative additions were weird or bad, but I had fun.

Is it worth playing dark souls beyond the first?

I really like the second one but most don't. People generally like the third one though.

Then by proxy you can't complain about it playing itself?

If the battle system is so boring on its own that letting the ai play it is preferable to the effort required to input the same stuff, I think it's a valid complaint

I've gotten to the part with judge bergan and realized I was playing it more to pass time than actually enjoy myself so I called it quits. The game basically plays itself, and that's not exciting. You can play it yourself manually, but that's worse.
