Just finished my first run today. Had a lot of fun, although I don't quite understand how to deal with the Flood pure forms other than stick with the pointy end of an energy sword or hold down M1/M2 with akimbo Spikers or Maulers. Cortana was a bitch, as I heard it was. Somehow still beat the par score despite dying a bunch.

A nitpick I have is that you're suddenly not super squishy during the end sequence on Legendary. I get that it's a victory lap spectacle, but you had to sweat blood and bullets during the Warthog run in CE. I was expecting something similar, but with the enemy density during the level it'd be damn impossible to do it while squishy. >_>
Interestingly there are more options for dealing with Flood in Halo 3 than the first two games. The biggest example is that using Melee attacks on Flood was useless in the prior games. But in 3, they are brittle and it works very well. The Sword is of course probably the best Flood killing weapon overall. It one shots the Tank forms and usually the other two pure forms as well. But my personal favorite anti-Flood weapon in Halo 3 is dual-wielded plasma rifles. They've got a high rate of fire, decent enough range to hit the ranged forms, and even help against shielded combat forms.

But really, most weapons except for Snipers are useful against Flood. That's actually why I found Cortana to be one of the easier missions. There is a plethora of available weapons for dealing with them.

I like how all the games received a little bit of new content. All the games got some new stuff in Forge, most notably Elephants in Halo 3 and Sabres/Seraphs in Reach. And CE of course got the new skins and customization options. I wonder if they'll start adding cut content that never made it into the games, like the Shadow in Halo 2.

This is exactly why it makes sense to bring him in. Both him and Mando are bounty hunters in Mandalorian armor. But they operate very differently.

I hate that this is the series where they keep trying new gameplay formulas instead of the Mario & Luigi series which I dont really care for.
Well Mario and Luigi is now a dead series unless Nintendo finds another studio to do it. Origami King actually looks promising from what I've seen, but obviously it's not the Paper Mario game I truly want. I have to imagine Nintendo will want to keep the Mario RPG games going because they're probably the most popular spin-off games aside from the Mario Kart series. It seems like it's time for the birth of a new Mario RPG series. Mario and Luigi was great but I'm okay with it not being revived. And Paper Mario does not look like it will return to its roots. So hopefully Nintendo doesn't just sit back and think Origami King is enough.

not interested in a donkey ass free for all season. 60 games proves nothing, baseball is a marathon, this is a sprint. 162 games proves beyond a shadow of a doubt who the best team is. in a 162 game season the elite teams will wear down mediocre teams, in this ebola season mediocre teams could end up playing spoiler and that to me aint right. idk how any serious baseball fan could possibly enjoy a 60 game season, under the circumstances i understand its better than nothing but it doesnt mean i have to like it.

if you just wanna watch some baseball then you cant go wrong, youre easy to please, but if you wanna watch to see who the best team is (like we normally do) this aint the season. not to mention even the best players get into a rut and see major slumps, in a 60 game season there is no room for error youre not allowed to have a slump that could be your season.
The teams that were going to make the playoffs in a regular season are likely going to be the same teams that make the playoffs now. Especially with how important depth is going to be in a season where players are opting out or are sick. Of course there are no guarantees, but I think any bad luck will have more to do with the virus than the shortened schedule.

I disagree with you for the most part anyway. I think this season is just as valid as any other, even if it's not being played under ideal circumstances. Don't watch if you're not interested, but most fans are, and they will enjoy having a baseball game to look forward to every night. As long as the virus doesn't ruin it of course.

It's not a kid's party game though. They designed the game with this particular audience in mind, as well as their general audience as a whole. That's why this series is so popular among competitive and casual fans alike. And at the end of the day, it's no different than any other job if this is their source of income.

Everyone should watch the episode "Old Wounds" from the Batman TV show. It shows a great narrative on how unempathetic Batman is and tells us why Dick gave up Robin and became Nightwing.
It also showed how Batman could still be considered a good person deep down. One of the most interesting things about that show is how Batman changes over time. Earlier on Batman and Bruce Wayne are two distinct individuals. And Bruce Wayne is a wonderful, upstanding citizen. But as the show goes on, the two eventually blend together. Life as Batman obviously wore him down. Kevin Conroy even did a different voice for Bruce earlier in the show that got dropped later on.

Ultimately, DCAU Batman was a good guy. Probably one of the nicer versions of the character.

They do explain that. You might not have reached that point yet though since it's not till a few episodes into Season 2 where they go into the background of the Titans.

And it makes sense to focus so heavily on Dick. I mean he's the most popular character of that group by far. I do think the focus is going to start shifting more to Starfire next season at least. But I'm sure they'll come up with some drama to stick Dick in.

Ideally, I think The Didact returns in this game as the main villain since he was one of the few things I thought the 343 Halos did right. To be fair, they added some fluff after Halo 5 that stated some Covenant species actually swore loyalty to Cortana after Halo 5's events. Particularly all of the Grunts on their homeworld, since apparently she treats them with the respect that nobody else does. But if the Banished are there it would be a bit confusing to fight two separate groups of Covenant. So maybe Cortana's faction will just be Prometheans after all.

I hope squadrons will show that there is interest in the market, but given it's still multiplayer focused i'm afraid the wrong message will be sent. I don't want to play with griefers and I want the illusion that i'm the best pilot in the game universe. I just want a big open galaxy with enough plot to move me along that can lead to an open ended efficiency grind at the end. And i don't have to jump through hoops to get my joystick working with. Bonus points if it can work with the joystick and the throttle control, but just one is enough to make me happy.

You know the more I look back on them, the more I actually like the Divine Beasts. They're not a replacement for traditional Zelda dungeons, but I think they were still enjoyable. And it was a bit refreshing doing dungeons that were almost entirely puzzle focused when combat is so prevalent everywhere else in the game.

Hyrule Castle is what future Zelda dungeons should be like though. Its openness was a perfect reflection of Breath of the Wild as a whole.
