Maybe if the country had cracked down more on telemarketing and robo calls years ago then more people would be willing to puck up the phone.

I haven't had the virus, but I can tell you I never answer my cell unless its from a number in my contact list. Otherwise if you need me you can leave a voice-mail. 99% of the calls I get have no voice-mail, thus are just spam calls, which is why I don't pick up the phone in the first place.

I have my phone set to automatically send every non contact number directly to voicemail.

And of course they made it hard for police to help and so far no one has given them a description. They are so lost and confused it is sad.

I bet the incident played out similarly to this: two guys are shot, they immediately yell call the police, one guy dies the other remains critically injured, police arrive and are met with hostile crowds and no one helps the police.

from what I read thats pretty much what happened except they had to drive the victims to the hospital in personal vehicles. Probably because they werent letting the authorities near

It's pretty much exactly as you say.

A former legal advisors for Virginia Citizens' Defense League was talking about it on stream a couple days ago. Basically as you said, the DA said just the other week that tasers are considered a deadly weapon, which means Brooks had stolen and used a deadly weapon on a police officer.

It just screams politics, and there are a lot worse police killings than these like the handful of people that were sleeping at home and killed during a no-knock raid in the middle of the night. Or that guy that was killed in the hotel the other year (the cop was not only acquitted, but granted medical retirement with a $30k a year pension because of the trial.)

Not the right hill for this DA to die on.

Atlanta resident here, no one is burning shit to the ground, those cops will just be replaced like in any company and the ones who quit can just find something else to do.

Personally I believe the hardest thing to do would be to stay and face the internal problem head on, but cops take the easy way all the time.
