I would say the form of a backhand disc throw is closer to a golf swing than a frisbee throw. It's all about generating torque and getting the timing right between legs, hips, and shoulders.

But as a right-hander, it's also more akin to a left-handed golf/baseball swing.

for a long time my problem with drives was my grip. i started using a "power grip" (look it up) and it really helped my distance. i also watch instructional videos on driving technique / form and they've helped me a lot too. i think my most significant problem right now is my follow-through, or lack of.

i can overhand throw it when i really need to but i am terrible about power and accuracy. i also really need to learn how to make it land flat so it doesn't roll like 30 feet <_<

Yeah, some day I'll get around to caring enough to really try to improve my technique, lol.

Maybe it's from a lifetime of playing baseball/softball, but I just can't comfortably put much power on a backhand throw, while my forehands are fine and the overhand is really natural for me.

My other recent problem is that I lost the driver that I've loved using for years, then lost my backup driver. Need to buy a new one, just using a mid-range for now.

Been playing fairly regularly the past several summers, and a whole bunch this year for some social distancing fun. I think I'm alright - also not great at getting good distance with a stable shot, but overhand throws are very reliable for my tee shots when possible. Our course has a lot more elevation change and trees than any I've played on down south (Alaskan here) so there's not always room to get the elevation for those. Usually hover at or just above par playing the basic tees.

But yeah, mainly just some good fun outdoors with a beer and bowl or two.

Edit: Well, I guess the article backs me up there, but also that Tesla did have quite a few other issues.

Juneau's been a good place to be through this. No roads in or out make it naturally isolated. Mask usage generally pretty good, bars and restaurants are open but not crowded (though I've avoided seeing the bars on Friday/Saturday nights), only had a grand total of 15 new cases since April 21st (8 in June). The vast majority of Alaska's cases are up around the Anchorage/Kenai (including Seward)/Matanuska area and Fairbanks.

According to FDLE, Yanes Martel told the victim she was being trespassed and told her to get out of her car and walk to his police car. The victim refused to walk to the police car and instead offered to drive over. "

- Seems like a pregnanat lady went to the club, started shit, got kicked out, security wanted her arrested she resisted and got her child killed by this baby murderer cop.

The manager of the club told agents that he asked Yanes Martel to give a woman, later identified as Safiya Satchell, a trespass warning after she was harassing wait staff and then threw money at a waitress.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said that Yanes Martel had no legal authority to detain the victim, that he forcibly removed her from her vehicle, and that one he took the victim to the ground, knelt on her neck.

What is misleading about this? Or are we calling it unethical when the specific # isn't included in the title but mentioned in the first couple sentences of the article?

I'm not seeing where he's actually refuting anything being reported. Reading articles about it on several sites, I'm seeing factual reporting in line with what Caputo is saying - federal funding will be pulled from 13 sites, with hopes that state/local funding will fill the void to keep them open. Seems more like he's ranting about people disliking the move or thinks they're making too big of a deal out of it.

Why are people blaming the protests? The largest protests occurred in blue states like New York and Illinois but the spikes are occurring in primarily red states (California being the only exception) where there was less protesting. It has less to do with that and much more to do with the reopenings.

Study from the National Bureau of Economic Research concluding the protests have had little net effect on cases:

https://www.nber.org/papers/w27408.pdf

Partially because of non-protesters staying home more with the unrest going on, off-setting some of the increase from the protests themselves.

The protests that started about 4 weeks ago? That happened in many places that aren't seeing these surges?

No doubt they had some effect, and it's hypothesized that non-protesters have stayed in more in places where things have gotten ugly to offset some of that. But these spikes don't appear to be tied to the protests.
