That all being said, I came up with a simpler solution in about 2 seconds that would have avoided all of this hullabaloo: "Miss Nguyen" It's not like a bunch of teachers/professors don't already refer to their students in such a way, so it wouldn't even be that unorthodox of a solution. |

I didn't say they were all amazing quality; just that overall, most people don't expect a Star Wars movie to be outright bad. It's a big name with a big budget and everything, and even if the plot is sometimes in "ehhhh" territory, you can usually still expect to get a flashy action flick. |

| Philip027 06/03/20 9:20:12 PM #67 | I think a lot of people here are missing one or both of two key points: 1) Most people don't intentionally go watching bad movies 2) Most people don't go into a Star Wars movie expecting to see an outright bad movie As far as the defying of expectations go, ep 9 could very well be the more disappointing movie to some, even if there are technically worse movies out there. |

| Philip027 04/20/20 10:02:30 AM #35 | Definitely agreed. I only played a bit of it (didn't like it at all), and it felt like Some Other Game but with vague Zelda-y elements tacked on. I couldn't suspend my disbelief anymore when I saw spider mechs with laser beams all over the place. Stuff like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within definitely came to mind. |

There's no reason for anyone to go inside a grocery store when there's curbside pickup and delivery.Which not everyone can make use of. For instance, stores in my area aren't delivering, and from what I have seen there isn't any curbside either. |

| Philip027 04/03/20 12:17:15 PM #21 | I was never that big on ff7 (to me it was just a mediocre game, especially considering the one that came out just before it) and I'm also not a fan of its new combat system compared to traditional ATB, so taking all that into consideration along with the fact the remake is gonna be a split game... very unlikely. I can at the very least understand why some people would really get behind its new combat system though, which is still a step above some other recent popular games where I really cannot understand their general appeal at all. Not going to name any examples here because it would just invite off-topic controversy. |

This. 82(2+2) 2+2 is done first because parentheses 82(4) Next is 82 because M+D in PEMDAS is obeyed from left to right (same with A+S) 4(4) Last is 4*4 16 I think the reason people are coming up with a solution of 1 is because they're forgetting M+D and A+S in PEMDAS are grouped together. You don't multiply first before you do dividing; you do them together from left to right, whichever happens to come first. When they reach the 82(4) step, they do 2*4 first, because they think multiplication steps are supposed to come before division steps, but this is incorrect. |

IMO Pokemon has had a worse decline after gens 4-5, just to name one example (there are surely better examples). It sure isn't being reflected in the sales though, what with Sword and Shield having sold like hotcakes. |

| Philip027 01/31/20 1:11:35 PM #67 | While I totally understand the distaste for water in a general sense, I've found that when I really do get THAT thirsty, water (assuming it's like, pure, and not terrible quality water) suddenly becomes an awesome drink. It still doesn't become a tasty drink, but it's somehow way more satisfying than it would be to drink at any other time. It's sort of like how the idea of going to bed doesn't appeal to me in the slightest until I'm actually really tired, then suddenly it's the greatest feeling in the world. I don't get how people can hate water. It doesn't have any flavor, so it can't taste bad. That's just it though. Tasting like nothing IS a bad taste to some people. |
