Pinotage (aka Husikam) and I go way back. This dude traveled Europe working in vineyards, surviving on grapes and shit. He's cool.

Grapes and shit do not constitute a good diet, let me tell you.

Query: who here is married/engaged? I had a ripper of a proprosal lined up as we were due to be doing el Camino de Santiago right now and I knew a lovely spot. Now we're stuck in rural New Zealand I'm brainstorming a cool ass way to propose.

Maybs something involving a kayak to the whops, nature is good yeah.

I used to cycle out this way when I was training. Crazy, stuff like this doesn't happen back here so a rude awakening.

This and COVID coming back has certainly put people on edge after the post-COVID honeymood period has worn off.

Be good to start getting an ear for the language, but there's a lot of shit to sift through.

Your favs?

What I've recently seen and enjoyed:
Y tu mam tambin (Alfonso Cuarn is great, I've seen Roma too but didn't love it as much)
Sin Nombre (prob a top 10 film, I absolutely adored this)
Amores Perros (Alejandro Gonzlez Irritu is utterly fantastic, really enjoyed Biutiful too)

Gael Garca Bernal is pretty fantastic huh.

I've watched through all Guillermo del Toro's films too, all pretty good. Cronos was a helluva ride and has held up fairly well.
