145 new cases in my county today compared to 26 yesterday. Im hoping some were just not reported yesterday...Even tho our new cases are trending down our hospital are using Alaska tents as additional ICU now

It seems my county is finally getting things under control. We reached about 1 in 22 people having tested positive for it. My wife works at convalescent home and they have been hit hard. Have lost about 20 residents out of about 80 thst lived there.. In my dialysis clinic we have lost 4 patients alone. Two weeks ago we were getting 200+ cases per day. Now we under 100 most days. If it continues this week I will feel a little better about our situation. Hospitals still pretty full here from what I hear from friends that work there. There's a little light at end of the tunnel it seems...

Texas and Florida have around the same amount of cases right now. We can predict Florida will end up with more in the long run? I think California will eventually pass New York.

At getting COVID

After 75 new cases Sunday and Monday, about 55 Tuesday, I thought maybe just maybe things turning around here but no. We followed it up with about 500 from Wednesday and Thursday. Imperial County at about 1 in 26 having had COVID. Hope herd immunity is a thing because its the only thing thats gonna stop it here it seems. I start taking care of COVID patients at my clinic Tuesday. Sending my 5 year old to live with the in laws for while. Sucks. On the bright side I get to go into isolation with my wife who I haven't lived with since she has been in our isolation part of the house since she has been treating COVIDs for 5 weeks now.

People here are uneducated, and stubborn. You see families going to Walmart and stuff. Being close to Mexico hasn't helped. Many people work here but live over there where cases have spiked. People that have been diagnosed with COVID still go out to stores...

1 in 34 infected in my county. I have had 21 patients test positive out of 138 total patients. Have 5 others under investigation. I think its gonna get to the point half of my patients will have gotten it

California had over 6k. Get on our level! My county had 470 new cases in two days. We are at about 1 in 34 people infected in this county

Seems the heat made things worse here. We have been above 100F for over a month and cases have skyrocketed. Although I think its mostly from Mothers day then Memorial day, then protests...next up? Father's day

My county jumped over 400 cases from Friday to Saturday. 1 out of every 43 people or so have had it. We will reach New York City levels probably next week at this rate. Hopefully it means that since so many people have had it, the spread slows down. At my dialysis clinic we looking at about 14% of our patients have had it. Herd immunity here we come

My dialysis clinic is cutting dialysis treatment times to accommodate a 4th shift for possible COVID pts. Our designated COVID clinic is full.

Imperial County California current ratio is about 1 in 70 people infected.

Yet still see people out and about like its no thing. Patients coming in for treatment with fevers that they have had for days...people here don't care. Our hospitals are sending out patients that need ventilators because they are out of them. We need a curfew set. Need a drastic change.. People won't comply on their own. Its frustrating.

My county's two hospitals are diverting covid patients to other hospitals in other counties as of this morning. Our rate of infection is 1 in every 205 people. Not quite NYC but pretty damn bad. Apparently patients from Mexico flooding our hospitals because they were unable to get treatment in Mexico.

I should tweet him that the Imperial Valley where the drunk who saves the world comes from currently has the highest rate of COVID infection per capita in California.

Today my county officially passed LA county with most cases per 100k people...wonder when news will start talking about us

Well at least the county said we not ready to reopen yet, although my city wanted to...so for now we still on stay at home order but people don't abide by it here. I drive down my neighborhood after getting off work and see people throwing parties...its like why am I caring so much about my patients not getting infected when people just don't give a crap? Then again I live in one of the poorest, uneducated, unemployed counties in the state. Sorry just need to vent

My county had 57 new cases today. At this rate we will pass LA County as county most infected per 100k people in California. We have 2 hospitals for about 190k people. They are at capacity from what friends tell me who work at each one. The system I'm afraid will be breaking soon. Unfortunately mothers day is this weekend and I'm sure people will get together just like they did Easter weekend. If heat does anything to the virus cases should decrease next week. Its been 100F or more for 2+ weeks
