Some of the seekers story fights get real rough later on. Dhokmak sucks, and the last fight might be bad depending on your jobs, but other than those two you're probably good to solo it all

Also will probably need help with the last rhapsodies fight (everyone does, because no one is geared like crazy at that point)

So thats... 3 fights! Other than that I think the goal of story completion should go just fine.

Worth noting that if you just wanna do story stuff you don't really need any job points

Thank goodness that you get to unlock warps and homepoints everywhere nowadays. I can hardly imagine getting around in seekers if it was still the old way where you had to get everywhere on foot :x

We did an 18 man warder of courage tonight, so that was a thing. Normally we keep it to 10-12 people for hp reasons, but I guess our dmg output is improving enough where the extra hp ain't no big thing. More aeonics comin soon!

I don't have any more jobs to level, but if I did I'd probably just stay in escha zitah as early as possible until 87 or 88 or whenever I could first start on mandies outside of adoulin.

CP solo I always preferred moh gates apex efts because no link/agg, but undergeared players can kill aerns in escha ruaun for their first 100 or w/e

congrats on the 99 whm! if you want to cap that club skill fast just afk on an uragnite outside of adoulin with only healing/buffing trusts up. they regen pretty fast

My advice is to grab linkshells off the concierge until you find people you like and ask for help! Of course, you'll get it eventually yourself, but bashing your head against the wall over and over because naja is dumb sounds terrible.

A few in our ls finished our first non-smn aeonic clears last night. I was too tired to stay up and try! But tonight or maybe tomorrow we should be able to get our last nm killed for whoever is around.

Now if only I still wanted the aeonic I originally chose, lol. Oh well, I know I'll want the next one I choose.

From the one's I see listed, these are the only that stand out for various reasons, but in general I would get every trust you can before you decide to spend login points elsewhere. theres the quest to improve your trusts that takes what... 72 trusts total or something?

New ffxi story is out and its gonna be released reeeeal slowly every month or every other month or something till early 2022.. Lol

In-game development as my ls downed zerde last night to be one mob away from our first ls non-smn burn aeonic clear. It seems we just have to stop following guides, because once we swapped to an 8 person pt for hp reasons and did a 2 super buffed melee zerg it went down like a chump. Just needed embrava to counter the bio aura and of course a rdm on stun duty.

so evidently ffxi is getting new storyline stuff soon according to the latest update teaser. I imagine it's gonna be basic simple questline stuff related to the new odyssey content that was introduced a while back, which is good because there is currently no reason to do odyssey at all since you can just buy the upgrade mats from it on the AH

this is only the ones i've seen:

kiki > spirited away > laputa > howls > totoro > ponyo > mononoke

princess mononoke is great for the first hour or so and then UGH i hate it

finishing story content and rhapsodies is fun, but finding new friends in-game is even more fun! Even if it's a small group to do things with and you're only around once a week/month/every few months. In my experience only the small servers have easy access into groups that have been playing together for years and will accept new friends easily.

We often take in returning players, and even if they don't stick around it's always nice to have someone new to help get geared up or just help with harder story content (a few seekers fights, last rhapsodies fight, etc).

Nothing I enjoy more than hanging out with people trying unsuccessfully for a few hours to get a pulse weapon to drop from zitah behemoth, lol. Or farming 4/5 herc pieces for a returner and newly leveled 99. I'm glad my old in-game friends are still around. The old days never ended for me
